Artist: AYLER, ALBERT
Title: Live In Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France, 25th July, 1970
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"Just a few months before Albert Ayler presumably jumped to his death from the Statue of Liberty ferry into the frigid November waters of NYCs East River he was on stage for two energy filled nights at the Fondation de Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France. Little did he know at the time that the recordings from these live performances would be his last. Although the band is not of the same calibre as some of his earlier ensembles, Ayler -- largely with the help of Call Cobbs on piano -- still manages one of the best live performances of his career. Although he had spent recent years flirting with R&B, here Ayler returns to the free jazz splendor of his ESP-Disk recordings playing classics from this period like Spirits, Holy Family and Spirits Rejoice. Originally released on the French Shandar label in 1970. Also with Steve Tintweiss (bass) and Allen Blairman (drums). White vinyl LP in clear plastic sleeve with red lettering. Limited edition 500 copies." -B13

Artist: BLUES CREATION
Title: Recorded Live At The All Japan Folk Jamboree August, 7 1971
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"Blues Creation was formed in 1969 by Japanese axe-hero Kazuo Takeda, along with fellow guitarist Koh Eiryu and singer Fumio Nunoya (later of Dew). Initially influenced by the likes of the Yardbirds and Cream, group mastermind Takeda soon decided to move the heavier territory occupied by bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin. But at the same time Blues Creation had morphed into something truly original, focused more on song writing and looking into their own Japanese roots as well as to the West. By the time this live performance was recorded in August, 1971 at the 2nd All Japan Folk Jamboree, Takedas Blues Creation was a force to be reckoned with. Plays a mix of originals (sung in English) and well-selected covers, as always Blues Creations sound hinges entirely on Takedas impressive handiwork on the fretboard." -B13. 140 gram vinyl. Clear red vinyl in transparent PVC sleeve with blue lettering. Limited edition 500 copies.

Artist: CAN
Title: A Double Promo Album By Can
Format: Double LP
Label: B13
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $55.00
"Vocalist Damo Suzukis departure from Can in 1973 had forced the band to re-evaluate their sound. Now with Michael Karoli and Irmin Schmidt sharing vocal duties, the band had also begun drawing on influences from disco and glam. While still remaining staunchly outside the mainstream, they undoubtedly became more accessible to a wider audience, and soon had a huge fan base in the UK. In fact, just a few months after playing the live show found on this double LP (recorded in Lyon in January of 1976), Can was even on Top of the Pops!" -B13. Double 140 gram clear vinyl with multicolored labels in a PVC sleeve. Limited edition of 500 copies.

Artist: CAN
Title: Future Days Live
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"This album is made up of one long jam session recorded live-in-studio at Inner Space in Cologne during the 1973 Future Days sessions. More ambient than their previous efforts, Future Days was also singer Damo Suzukis final album with Can. Members of Can had first encountered the self-defined 20th century nomad, Kenji Damo Suzuki, a few years earlier on the streets of Cologne. It was shortly after original Can vocalist Malcolm Mooney had left the band and they were left without a singer on the night of a sold-out concert. Upon spying Damo on the streets of Cologne, Holger Czukay just walked up to him and asked him if he wanted to sing at the concert - no rehearsal, just get up on stage with the band and sing. Damo, of course, accepted and the classic Can line-up was born." - B13. 140 gram LP. Clear purple vinyl with red label in PVC sleeve with black lettering. Limited edition 500 copies.

Title: Live at Aston University, Birmingham
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $29.00
"Extremely rare recording of Can performing live at Aston University in Birmingham, on March 4, 1977 and featuring the new addition of Rebop Kwaku Baah (the Ghanian percussionist well-known for his work with Traffic, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, etc.) and Roscoe Gee (a Jamaican bassist who had also recorded with Traffic). Holger Czukay, now freed from bass duties, began experimenting with an array of electronic sounds, which he also began adding to the mix in part to counterbalance Cans new supercharged rhythm section. This period was actually the bands most commercially successful, with their disco-infused single I Want More topping the UK charts in 1976. 140 gram clear vinyl in a PVC sleeve. Limited edition of 500 copies." -B13.

Title: Live In Hannover
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $29.00
"High quality live FM radio broadcast from Hannover on 11 April 1976 featuring the pied piper of the early seventies British hippy scene Magic Michael (Michael Cousins) on vocals. Michael, like Rodney Bingenheimer, was more famous for who he knew than for what he actually did, although he did appear on the Greasy Truckers Party LP in 1972, the A Bunch of Stiff Records compilation in 1977, and also collaborated with members of the Damned. Michael had also auditioned to be Cans vocalist after Damo left the band, but was rejected, so it is interesting to hear what a post-Damo Can might have sounded like with Magic Michael at the helm. 140 gram clear vinyl in a PVC sleeve. Limited edition of 500 copies." -B13.

Title: Monster Movie Live
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"Formed in Cologne in 1968, the year of the student riots that rocked Europe, Can was the band that rose from the ashes. Three ex-students of avant-garde composer Karlheinz Stockhausen (Holger Czukay, Irmin Schmidt and Michael Karoli), well-known German jazz drummer, Jacki Liebezeit and American singer, Malcolm Mooney took rock music and turned it on its head. Although the band was still playing traditional instruments, their spontaneous compositions had little to do with the rehearsed conventions of rock. Tracks like Father Cannot Yell and the 20-minute Yoo Doo Right from their debut LP Monster Movie, and recorded live in Cologne in July 1969, were the first steps into the beyond, setting the tone for a whole new genre of German music that the world would soon be calling krautrock." - B13. 140 gram LP. Red vinyl with red label in PVC sleeve with black lettering. Limited edition 500 copies.

Artist: CAN
Title: Tago Mago Live
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"Recorded in 1971 at Cans Inner Space Studio in Cologne during the Tago Mago sessions. These two long tracks represent a live-in-studio jam where Damos vocals have really become an essential component in the bands sound. Amazing groove-heavy jams that were eons ahead of their time. This band was at its absolute creative peak. In 1971, you could press a record while they were using the bathroom and it would still sound good." 140 gram LP. Clear red vinyl with red label in PVC sleeve with black lettering. Limited edition 500 copies." - B13.

Artist: CHERRY, DON
Title: Live in Paris, April 22, 1971
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $29.00
"Clear red vinyl in PVC sleeve. Limited edition 500 copies. In 1971, jazz trumpet player Don Cherry was living in an artists colony in Sweden (where he met his wife, Moki) and becoming deeply interested in world music, which would mark a deep shift in his music from this point onward. In spring of 1971, Cherry traveled to Paris with his avant-garde jazz trio, made up of the great South African bassist, Johnny Dyani, and Turkish percussionist Okay Temiz (who would also appear on his Organic Music Society) to perform live for an audience of French jazz fans." -B13.

Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"First ever vinyl reissue of this incredibly rare early 70s Japanese LP recorded live at the 2nd All Japan Folk Jamboree on August, 7 1971. Formed in 1970 by ex-Blues Creation singer Fumio Nunoya, this live album featured a mix of self-penned guitar-heavy psych rock with anguished Japanese vocals along with a few standard blues covers." -B13. 140 gram LP, clear green vinyl in transparent PVC sleeve with blue lettering. Limited edition 500 copies.

Artist: FOTHERINGAY
Title: BBC Live in 1970
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $29.00
"140 gram LP clear vinyl in clear PVC sleeve (ltd. ed. 500 copies). After her legendary tenure with Fairport Convention came to an end in 1969 (during which time she was voted Britains best singer), Sandy Denny, along with Trevor Lucas (of Eclection), decided to put together a new band. In early 1970 Fotheringay, named after a FC song (and featuring the talents of Jerry Donahue and Pat Donaldson), was born. Despite rave reviews along with the release of one excellent album for Island that same year, the band quickly fell apart due to personal reasons. These BBC sessions, recorded in April and November of 1970--and featuring amazing versions of songs like The Sea and The Ballad of Ned Kelly, from their self-titled studio album, as well as versions of songs like Eppie Moray and John The Gun, that were works in progress at the time--are a welcome compendium to their repertoire." -B13.

Artist: GURU GURU
Title: Live in Wiesbaden 1972
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"Playing on the same scene as bands like Amon Duul and Can, German prog rock band Guru Guru was formed in 1968 by one of contemporary musics most talented drummers, Mani Neumeier who, in addition to playing drums, was also the bands vocalist and front man. By the time this album was recorded in 1972, bassist Uli Trepte had left the band to play with Neu! and Faust and was replaced with Bruno Schaab of Night Sun (the stellar German prog metal band). This early live album, recorded in Wiesbaden, Germany in front of a crowd of dedicated fans, is essential listening, featuring two extended tracks, the 28-minute Oxymoron, and the 23-minute Guru Guru classic Baby Cake Walk." 140 gram LP. Red vinyl with white label in PVC sleeve with black lettering. Limited edition 500 copies. - B13

Artist: GURU GURU
Title: Live in Wiesbaden 1972/1973
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
""In 1972 Guru Guru played the Wiesbaden Concert Hall where Neumeier, guitarist Ax Genrich and bassist Bruno Schaab (who had recently replaced Uli Trepte) let loose on one of their most classic tracks, the a 37-minute freakout Ooga Booga. In 1973 the discerning folks of Wiesbaden again invited Guru Guru to play, and this time the band - now featuring the formidable Hans Hartmann (arguably Guru Gurus best in a long line of bass players) - regaled fans with tracks from their recently released LP Dont Call Us (We Call You), Round Dance and Das Zwickmaschinchen. Here, also, Neumeiers superlative drumming is given center stage and one can hear why Mani has consistently earned such high praise." 140 gram LP. Clear red vinyl with white label in PVC sleeve with black lettering. Limited edition 500 copies." - B13

Artist: KRAFTWERK
Title: Live
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"Founded in 1970 in Dusseldorf, Kraftwerk was the only German band to rise from the so-called krautrock scene to true international stardom. Of course, it was partially their distinct look that set them apart. At a time when long hair and scruffy clothing was the norm for musicians, Kraftwerk cut their hair short and wore handmade suits. And at a time when guitar rock reigned supreme, Kraftwerk did not even have a guitar player. In fact they soon did away with instruments altogether, becoming one of the first truly electronic bands. With the release of their fifth album Autobahn in 1975 (which mocked the glorification of the shiny modern world that had been built upon the rubble of post-war Germany), Kraftwerk finally achieved major stardom. Kometenmelodie 1 &2 was recorded live in Paris during the Autobahn tour and featured the classic Schneider / Hütter / Bartos / Flür line-up. Side B was recorded live in Utrecht in 1981 shortly after the release of their prophetic Computer World. It features their 1978 hit The Model plus hits from the album, Numbers and Pocket Calculator." - B13. 140 gram LP. Grey vinyl with blue label in PVC sleeve with red lettering. Limited edition 500 copies.

Artist: KRAFTWERK
Title: Live 1971
Format: Double LP
Label: B13
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $55.00
"Rare early Kraftwerk, now for the first time on double vinyl LP. Recorded live at the Gondel Kino (Gondola Cinema) in Bremen, Germany on 25 June 1971 (except for Interzone recorded on the TV program Beat-Club on 22 May 1971), with a rare trio line-up of Florian Schneider, Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger (soon to be of Neu!). This LP represents one of the very few recordings in existence of that brief period in Kraftwerk history after Ralf Hutter had temporarily left the band and before Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger went on to form Neu! Before morphing into the motorik juggernaut they would soon become, Kraftwerk was nothing more than Rother on guitar, Dinger on drums, and Schneider on a tricked-out flute. Just listen to Heavy Metal Kids to unlock the secret door to their past. Double 140 gram clear vinyl with multicolored labels in a PVC sleeve. Limited to 500 copies." -B13.

Title: The Earliest Recordings
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"Technically "proto-Soft Machine", recorded live in London in the early sixties. "The very earliest known recordings by the men who would unwittingly go on to found the influential Canterbury scene and its premiere band, Soft Machine! Culled mostly from sax player Brian Hoppers personal vault of early rehearsal tapes and live performances circa 1962-63 - over 3 years prior to Soft Machines official formation. In 1962, Brians younger brother Hugh was still attending the Simon Langton Grammar School For Boys near Canterbury, as was classmate, Robert Wyatt. Mike Ratledge, had been a classmate of Brians and Daevid Allen was just a freewheeling Australian music lover who was renting a room at Wyatts parents house. The Hopper brothers, Wyatt and Ratledge were drawn in by Allen (who was older) with his Sun Ra records, beat poetry, and tales of the bohemian life in Paris, all of which soon led to talk of starting a band together... as these things often do. The very earliest line-up was Wyatt on drums, Allen on guitar, and Hugh on bass. They called themselves the Daevid Allen Trio. Dear Olde Benny Green Is A-Turning In His Grave is a tune that comes from one of their first live performances at Londons Marquee club in 1963." 140 gram LP. Clear vinyl in PVC sleeve with blue lettering and red label. Limited edition 500 copies." -B13.

This rare recording finds Ra, along with a 19-piece Arkestra, playing a mix of his own compositions (Images and Lights) along with several jazz standards (including Jelly Roll Mortons King Porter Stomp and Duke Ellingtons Lightnin). While Ras own compositions were usually more avant-garde affairs, he always revelled in playing the classics as well in an effort to give his audience a lesson in jazz history. Title: Live
Format: LP
Label: B13
Country: Italy
Price: $29.00
"1972 was a busy year for Japans favorite experimental rock band. After several months spent touring Europe, group leader Takehisa Kosugi (currently music director for the Merce Cunningham dance company in the USA) decided to make good on the bands name and embark on a monumental voyage across Europe and Asia, driving a VW bus from Rotterdam all the way to the Taj Mahal in India. Amazingly, the band got as far as Pakistan before having to fly the rest of the way to the Taj Mahal due to border restrictions. By July of 1972, the band was back home in Japan, and still playing nonstop. The three tracks on side A were recorded live during this historic tour, while side B was recorded a year later at the famous Oz Club in Tokyo, during a five day music festival celebrating the venues final days." "Avant-garde composer and sound installation artist Takehisa Kosugi (musical director of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company) has led the Japanese avant-garde music scene since the early 1960s. In 1969 he formed the Taj Mahal Travellers, a musical collective that travelled the world in a VW minibus creating Fluxus-influenced improvised multimedia sound events. This double album (divided into two LPs), recorded live at the Nippon Columbia Studio in Tokyo in 1974, was the groups final effort before disbanding. Here Kosugi and the Travellers blend Eastern and Western instrumentation, vocal chants and electronics to create free-form psych-laden drones. Price: $29.00
Clear purple vinyl in a transparent PVC sleeve with yellow lettering; edition of 500 copies. "After the release of their third LP in March 1969, the Velvets (with Doug Yule now on bass) embarked on a nationwide tour, playing over seventy dates all around the US. One of these included a stint at the End Of Cole Avenue club in Dallas--one of the Velvets few live performances where a professional sound engineer was actually on hand to record the sets. Some of the songs recorded over those few nights showed up in 1974 on their 1969: Velvet Underground Live album, but the sound quality was not great due to Mercurys use of third or fourth generation tapes. However, the first generation tapes have since resurfaced, and the difference in sound quality (heard here) is a welcome one. This version also features a few songs, like Im Set Free and One Of These Days, not found on the original LP." - B13.
