Artist: INNERGAZE
Title: Mutual Dreaming
Format: LP
Label: Cititrax
Country: USA
Price: $20.00
"Our sublabel Cititrax, is proud to present new music from Brooklyn based synth duo Innergaze. Their second LP, “Mutual Dreaming” is a highly anticipated release and were ecstatic that the vinyl is finally out. “Innergaze drag us slightly further back into the glorious cradle of dance music. Their music, crushed and static, obscured by sound. EBM, coldwave, early techno fight it out for dominance of the drum machine. Casually brutal vocals force their way through from the Death Factory. As if Chris & Coseys dalliances with the Eurythmics had conjured a restless pioneering demon to duet with Annie Lenox but had instead ended up consuming her. Celestial synths coexisting with the industrial landscape bellow.” -20 Jazz Funk Greats. “Innergaze is the musical project of Aurora Halal and Jason Letkiewicz – Letkiewicz is known for his work with or as Manhunter, Steve Summers and Rhythm Based Lovers; Halal a video editor and director. Its pretty clear that Innergaze is a wholly collaborative effort, as Letkiewiczs penchant for pulsing beats and organic house mingles with the hazy, psychedelic new-age atmospheres that shine through Halals video work, together creating something that could loosely fall under the ‘minimal synth tag. Dont expect some sort of easily placeable sound, though – Innergaze has far more personality than your average electro duo, relying on intuition, emotion and a good jam session to create their music, not a rigid set of pre-determined parameters. Together, its like a robot coated in human flesh, sentient yet vaguely artificial, and like most cyborgs portrayed on TV, quite beautiful. Im pretty sure they are in love, too, which is an interesting dynamic for a sound that often relies on aesthetic impassiveness.” - YellowGreenRed. The “Mutual Dreaming” LP is a limited pressing of 999 copies on 160 gram vinyl, housed in a high quality full color printed sleeve featuring a collaborative artwork concept by Veronica Vasicka and Aurora Halal." -Cititrax.

Artist: KONTRAVOID
Title: Native State
Format: 7"
Label: Cititrax
Country: USA
Price: $9.00
"The tracks Native State and Cut to Cleanse are exclusive 7" only versions. The record is pressed on clear blue vinyl and comes in a hand silk-screened sleeve, limited edition of 999 numbered copies. The name Kontravoid belongs on a limited run cassette circa 1980-something, the type of tape buried in lost upstate dustbins of pre-MIDI analog electronics, wedged between Cabaret Voltaire and Das Ding. The dark industrial and new wave influences are strong on ex-Crystal Castles drummer Cam Findlays new project - his voice is scary, like an echoing underwater growl - but the underlying pop melodies always afford a degree of breathing room." -Cititrax.

Artist: MEDIO MUTANTE
Title: Inestable EP
Format: 12"
Label: Cititrax
Country: USA
Price: $18.00
"Cititrax is proud to present Medio Mutantes debut 12 inch EP.
The six tracks on this record are the product of a serendipitous
meeting of minds and the feverish week of recording sessions
that followed. Mariana Saldana, Jose Cota and Seth Nemec met in 2007 in Austin Texas
and began recording the same night, writing the title track Inestable as
soon as the synths had been plugged in. Drawing on a shared love of synthesizers and drum machines, each had
worked as a solo electronic artist before uniting, the three immediately
found a shared vision.  Having grown up listening to Hip-hop, Jazz, Latin
freestyle and New Wave records from Europe, America and Japan, Medio
Mutante wrings a mutated blend of raw and propulsive energy from their
limited analogue gear. The bands name, literally ??Average Mutant? in Spanish, is also an
indication of their subtle perversion of familiar themes in their songs.
Love, science fiction, and disenfranchisement in a future gone bland are
turned on their ear in 6 danceable electro songs sung in Spanish and English.
Medio Mutante are an American band, born of working class values,
with their feet planted in the past but looking to the future. Limited edition of 600 copies." -Cititrax. New side label of Minimal Wave.

Artist: SYLVI FOSTER
Title: If Are You...
Format: 12"
Label: Cititrax
Country: USA
Price: $19.00
"For those of you who missed it the first time around, some classic Italo disco for the dancefloor brought to you by our sublabel, Cititrax. Sylvi Foster was the brainchild of the young Domenico Ricchini (who also produced music under the pseudonyms: Bandanna, Bob Salton, Delanuà, and Joe Yellow). Domenico formed his first rock band in 1974 and his first disco band in 1978. In 1979, he recorded If Are You Master, Love Dawn and Flood and later recorded Hookey in 1982. This EP brings together four of his best songs, which were released on various hard to find 12"s throughout the years. This is the sound of early Italo disco, with its slinky pre-midi synth-funk elements and great tempos, dark synths and nonsense lyrics to match. Big thanks to Flemming Dalum for making this release possible. Limited to 999 copies." - Cititrax. Side label of Minimal Wave.

Title: Futurisk-Lonely Streets Remixes
Format: LP
Label: Cititrax
Country: USA
Price: $18.00
"Minimal Wave takes an old sound in a new direction entirely, giving Futurisks classic Lonely Streets a modern shake-up through a remix package from current artists out now on MWs sublabel reserved for new music and old favorites, Cititrax. Futurisk, an electro-punk group made legendary by their anarchistic records and explosive live shows, mysteriously disappeared from a thriving scene in 1984. With an electric and dynamically layered sound (created with pre-midi instrumentation), the South Florida group left an indelible mark in the crates of disco and minimalist collectors dotted around corners of the world, including LCD Soundsystems James Murphy (who gave a complimentary wink to Futurisk in 2003 by using Push Me Pull You (Pt. 2) on the delightful Colette # 5 DFA Comp CD). Minimal Waves own history with Futurisk runs a few years back, starting first by including an unreleased 1982 version of the track Meteoright on the labels Found Tapes vinyl LP in 2007. Subsequently, Minimal Wave released the retrospective full-length vinyl Player Piano LP to celebrate the bands 30th anniversary last year, culling material recorded between the years 1980 to 1982, with all of the tracks on their two 7-inch releases mixed in with rare studio recordings and early 4-track tapes. The Futurisk Lonely Streets Remixes includes remixes by four of the bands biggest fans, each of whom have a sound as iconic as the band themselves: Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle, Chris & Cosey), Tom Furse (The Horrors), Prince Language (DFA, Editions Disco) and Complexxion from the UK." -Cititrax

"For the remixes, we wanted to make sure that they werent modernized or techno versions of the tracks, but remixes with the same analogue and dance/rock sensibilities of the time when the original tracks were created, utilizing those very same stem tracks. I believe we have accomplished this with the forthcoming Lonely Streets Remix 12inch vinyl. The first remix 12inch will be dedicated to the track Lonely Streets, with a remix by synth legend Chris Carter, whose version is one that I would have dreamed of doing back in 1982, had we the time and funds and equipment. Prince Languages version captures the feel of the song beautifully with the utilization of all the stems, especially the real drum tracks that were part of Futurisks signature sound, stirring up the No Wave styles that also influenced us at the time. It was also a pleasure to hear Tom Furses Moroder-esque electropunk take, sounding like a missing track from a late 1970′s sci-fi flick and finally Complexxions track with the feel and approach of Arthur Baker, Martin Rushent, Daniel Miller and Kraftwerk of course, all of which were big influences on the members of Futurisk" - Jeremy Kolosine (founding member of Futurisk).

Title: Dance Party Album
Format: LP
Label: Cititrax
Country: USA
Price: $21.00
"The first release on NYC based label, Cititrax, is a re-issue of Z-Factors Dance Party Album (originally released in 1984, 500 copies). Fronted by Jesse Saunders and Vince Lawrence, Z-Factor formed in Chicago in 1982, at the very beginning of the house era. Comes with a retro style ?12″ poster & pressed on 160 gram vinyl. ESSENTIAL!
Hugely influenced by the Hot Mix 5 radio shows on WBMX, Z-Factor incorporated European synth-driven sounds that theyd heard on the radio with 808 rhythm tracks. This disco: the rhythms, the basslines, the spirit, made by amateurs was to become "house". Farley Jackmaster Funk recalls the early Chicago scene: "We started experimenting, playing with drum machines. Jesse Saunders was on board with me at the Playground at the time, and he was a musician. In the early days, the kick drum and the electric tom-toms of the 808 was enough to make people dance without even putting any music to it. So a lot of the stuff was just beat tracks in the beginning. Then we came to steal everybodys basslines. See, all we ever did was regurgitate disco again by just stealing everybodys music. Because all the original house stuff that came out was somebody elses bassline." But when drum and bass patterns once played by skilled musicians were copied on cheap synths that sounded like the real instruments, they didnt seem old or stolen. Stripped of their songs, these recycled riffs sounded alien and new, like raw, minimal messages transmitted from another world. It was only a matter of time before tracks started to appear on vinyl, and since Lawrences father owned Mitchbal Records, the group had their opportunity to release what is now known as the first full length house album. Nowadays, original copies of the Dance Party Album are very rare, and therefore expensive. And so we present to you the reissue of this important record." -Cititrax. Sidelabel of Minimal Wave.
