Artist: BROKEN WATER
Title: Normal Never Happened
Format: 7"
Label: Fan Death
Country: USA
Price: $7.00
"Coming out on the tail of a self-released 7-inch ("Boyfriend Hole/Mother"), cassette (Night People) and early 2010 highlight WHET LP (Night People/Radio is Down), BROKEN WATERs FDR debut 7-inch finds the band further refining their distinctive northwestern squall.  A-side "Normal Never Happened" kicks off with a throbbing riff, before morphing into a hazy, spacey dream-pop zone topped with layered vocals. The B side, "Faux King Vogue" continues their exploration of the dark, noisy guitar work thats been a hallmark of Pacific NW bands since the days of Unwound, Lync, and Kicking Giant.  Covers are letterpressed with unique paint splatters." - Fan Death

Artist: CLOCKCLEANER
Title: Nevermind
Format: LP
Label: Fan Death
Country: USA
Price: $16.00
"Fan Death Records is proud to bring you CLOCKCLEANERs legendary first LP Nevermind, receiving its first vinyl release. Allegedly written while singer/guitarist JOHN SHARKEY was suffering from a weeks-long case of bilateral amnesia, Nevermind shocked those listeners lucky enough to hear it with its acidic, misanthropic noise-rock spew. Live, Clockcleaner took an uncompromising approach towards alienating audiences, bands, and venues, leading a local alt-weekly to crown them "the most hated band in Philadelphia" in a cover story. While more sensitive types bristled at tracks called "Interview w/ a Black Man" and "Gentle Swastika" (among others), those who were able to stand through their seizure-inducing live shows and vulgar display of reverb found that this band actually wrote songs. Darkly humorous songs with an attitude corrosive enough to melt the mustache off a Northern Liberties Man Man fan. After youve come to know and love Babylon Rules and Auf Wiedersehen, youd be doing yourself a favor by coming back to where it all began. Includes a download." -Fan Death

Artist: PUERTO RICO FLOWERS
Title: 2
Format: 7"
Label: Fan Death
Country: USA
Price: $5.00
"This is the new single by PUERTO RICO FLOWERS entitled 2. It is entitled 2 because it features two songs. If there were seven songs the record would be called 7. Surely by now you grasp the idea. Inspired by Canberran isolation and John Cale, 2 offers us one new orignal and one borrowed tune. Again performed solely and in the same fashion by JOHN STARKEY III (CFC). This record was recorded by a New Zealander (FFC) in a house unfit for human inhabitants located in Yarraville, VIC. 2 Strays noticeably from the forced darkness of todays boring youth and towards a more human element while all along cementing the fact that women are not the enemy, time is. Available for purchase Anzac Day 2010." -Fan Death

Artist: PUERTO RICO FLOWERS
Title: 4
Format: 12'
Label: Fan Death
Country: USA
Price: $12.00
"This is the debut EP from PUERTO RICO FLOWERS and it is called 4 because there are four songs on it. If there were five songs, it would be called 5. Bass / Drums / Synthesizer / Vocals found here. Slow songs not unlike a skinhead crying. JOHN SHARKEY III wrote and recorded them. He lives in America and Australia. Yes, he used to be in CLOCKCLEANER, but he also used to be a smoker. He gave that up a long time ago. Performances are seasonal and enjoyable. Thank you." -Fan Death

Artist: PUERTO RICO FLOWERS
Title: 7
Format: LP
Label: Fan Death
Country: USA
Price: $16.00
"JOHN SHARKEY III is the new prime mover of the dark pop resurgence with PUERTO RICO FLOWERS.  After the smoke blew free from the rubble that was CLOCKCLEANER, Sharkey burrowed deep into the smoother sound the group folded under in order to find his own voice.  His newly crafted Puerto Rico Flowers has sliced through all of the current buzz with its rich and saturated sound coupled with ever-surprising pop sensibilities. On 7, the evolution of sound continues to new dynamisms while maintaining that same foundation of simplicity. Tracks such as "Freezing Tears," place a steady beat behind the wheel that is carried by Sharkeys flowing vocals while pieces such as "After the weekend" see PRF exploring new places of quiet. Yet the anthemic quality of songs such as "3 Sisters" and "I Feel Good" hit with the same power as "Lets Make Friends."" -Fan Death

Artist: TACO LEG
Title: s/t
Format: LP
Label: Fan Death
Country: USA
Price: $13.00
"TACO LEG are the best band in the world. No, seriously. The Perth trio of ANDREW MURRAY, SIMON MORRISON and RICHARD INGHAM has been blowing us away since we first came across their Myspace page shortly after starting Fan Death. Taco Legs self-titled LP wastes no time in making its mark, its 12 tracks clocking in at just under 20 minutes. Many of these tracks barely crack the minute mark, but like their Perth punk ancestors from the Victims to Extortion, their songs are direct and lodge in your brain until you find yourself thinking about "Raiders of the Lost Ark". If youre familiar with Taco Leg, the elements are all there-minimal guitar lines and stripped-down, proto-punk drumming, with singer Murrays unforgettable voice intoning cryptic lyrics. This is the record where theyve fully honed their sound, and very nearly have learned how to play their instruments. Whether its on the shambling swagger of "Shut It Down," self-described "Detroit Hardcore" song "Find Me," or the tension of "I Cant Decide" (not a Black Flag cover), Taco Leg perfectly encapsulate the feeling of being young and bored without being boring. Members of Taco Leg also appear in a number of other great bands, all of which are incredible and essential to check out, including: PAULINE MANSON, CONSTANT MONGREL, WHALEHAMMER, POND, and Ringhams garage-punk/prank call project RING." - Fan Death.

Artist: TWIN STUMPS
Title: Seedbed
Format: LP
Label: Fan Death
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
"If a bands surroundings influence their sound, one might assume that Ridgewood, New York, a neighborhood on the border of Brooklyn and Queens that TWIN STUMPS calls home, is a decaying urban wasteland seldom seen outside of dead industrial cities in Eastern Europe. Coming on the heels of last years critically acclaimed self-titled 12-inch on Dais, universally considered one of the most grotesque, misanthropic, and extreme releases of 2009, a listen to Seedbed finds the band pulling you further into the grime and mire of THEIR world. The result is a truly unnerving mixture of suffocating feedback and distortion, blown-out drum sounds, loop abuse beyond recognition, and the manipulated, maniacal barks of wild-eyed singer ALESSANDRO KEEGAN. Recorded and mastered by BEN GREENBERG (Zs/Pygmy Shrews) at Python Patrol. LP includes a download." -Fan Death
