Title: Todos Rien de Mi
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $25.00
"Hippie group from Madrid, this is no doubt the most acid psychedelic rock album recorded in Spain in the 70s. It is their sole album, originally released in 1975 on the Explosion label and a very rare and collectable item. No one knew anything about the group members until now, it had been even rumored to be some Argentinian guys living in Spain...but no, the group was formed by two Spanish females and four males and the brainhead was Carlos Garcia, who sadly passed away not long ago and to whom this reissue is dedicated. Ten tracks, eight of them in English and two in Spanish, all originals and fantastic; theres lots of heavy acid fuzz guitar here, probably the wildest fuzz recorded in Spain (Todos Rien de Mi, Send Me or I Need Money), and also some great sunshine psych-pop (Cuco Go Fly, Al Salir el Sol), and its all very well packed with some of the best multi-vocal harmonies you can find in a Spanish record ever." - Spain. Huge full color poster and insert.

Title: Reachin Arcesia
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"A classic since year zero of rare record collecting, Reachin Arcesia has always been the focus of many rumors and bizarre stories. Guerssen sets the record straight with this, the first ever legitimate reissue of this legendary album. John Arcesi was a veteran singer of the big band era who, in the early 70s, recorded a pop album with help from an anonymous hip studio musicians. The album was released in a private edition of 300 copies and most of them were given away to family and friends. In the late 80s, one of those copies was unearthed by record dealer Paul Major, who was one of the first people to appreciate the singularity of Reachin Arcesia. Since then, the album, which mixes over-the-top crooner vocals with late 60s acid-rock and pop arrangements, has developed a reputation as a lounge-psych/real people masterpiece. Remastered and presented in a gatefold sleeve with the original artwork on the back and a new cover design on the front. Includes insert with lyrics. Features detailed liner notes and rare photos in the inner gatefold, telling the real story of John Arcesi." - Guerssen.

Title: Flashback
Format: CD
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $18.00
"Chicago, early 70s. Greg Herriges is obsessed with Lennon, 12-string guitars, and far-out psychedelic sounds. Rick Vittenson is a Beach Boys-Hollies-Who fanatic who writes for Crawdaddy! magazine. Both had previously played in several garage college bands during the 60s. Combining their mutual love for 60s music, Athanor was born. With the help of top studio musicians, they recorded and self-released three 45s between 1973 and 1975 (the first one produced by Mark Breyer, with whom Rick had played in pre-Skooshny band Brevity) which are now highly sought-after by fans of obscure psychedelic pop. All of them are featured here in stellar sound taken from the master tapes along with previously-unreleased studio tracks and superb-sounding home demos (1973-1981), plus a new song recorded in 2006 in the same vein as their vintage recordings. Athanors music features impressive songwriting and musicianship, a collision of Beatlesque harmony vocals, Rickenbacker and Guild 12-string guitars, occasional fuzz-wah leads, Fender Rhodes, and studio effects. Psychedelic proto power-pop highly recommended to anyone into Lazy Smoke, Badfinger, Only Ones, Emitt Rhodes, Rockin Horse, or Creme Soda. Remastered sound from the original master tapes, booklet with rare pictures and liner notes by Mark Breyer from cult psych power-pop band, Skooshny." -Guerssen.

Title: Perseverance Kills Our Game
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"Guerssen presents a reissue of Perseverance Kills Our Game, an absolute masterpiece of European progressive psychedelic folk rock. Dutch band Avalanche formed in the early 70s and recorded Perseverance Kills Our Game, their only album, in 1979, and released it in a private edition of 500 copies, which were only distributed among friends and relatives. Despite being a home-made project (the album was recorded in just one day!), the result was stunning. Totally early 70s sounding electric folk rock with flute, piano, bass, drums, and killer fuzz guitar. Mostly instrumental with sparse vocals in English. It alternates delicate acoustic passages with devastating fuzz leads, sounding like Fairport Convention jamming with early Ash Ra Tempel. The album closes with an extended 11-minute track on which guitar player Daan Slaman starts playing leads like a madman, creating layers and layers of liquid acid-fuzz guitar. It has to be heard to be believed! This reissue was produced in cooperation with the original band members. LP insert features rare photos and liner notes by Richard Allen. Carefully remastered from original vinyl (the masters were destroyed long ago) using state-of-the-art equipment." - Guerssen.

Title: Ode To Quetzalcoatl
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
"Since its discovery in the late 90s, Dave Bixbys legendary $2000 private press album from 1969 is considered by all serious record collectors as the king in the loner/downer-folk genre. After being involved in 60s Michigan folk and garage-rock bands such as The Shillelaghs and Peter & The Prophets, Bixby started playing acoustic guitar and experimenting with LSD. After a year of drug abuse he felt broken. Starting a soul-searching, spiritual journey, he wrote Ode To Quetzalcoatl and most of the material for his second album, Harbingers Second Coming in just a month and a half. Assisted by fellow musician Brian MacInness, who played some guitar parts on the album, Bixby recorded this record in a living room using an echo-laden 4-track machine. The sound is lo-fi and sparse: just acoustic guitars and some occasional harmonica & flute, added to Bixbys haunting, emotional vocals, spiritual lyrics and solid songwriting. The opening cut, the eerie and painful "Drug Song" sets the mood perfectly for the rest of the album. Never again has an acoustic folk album sounded as intense as this. Reissued for the first time under license from Dave Bixby himself, and carefully remastered from vinyl (no master tapes exist) at Shadoks Music Studios. Includes an insert with extensive and detailed liner notes by Matvei Procak -- the guy who found Bixby in 2006 -- plus some rare pictures. This vinyl release also includes a free mp3 download code." - Guerssen . "Highly rated by the few who have heard it, this tormented religious loner/downer folk LP has to rank as one of the ultimate incarnations of the genre." --Acid Archives.

Title: Echoes Of Loves Reality
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"Most would probably agree that this is one of the very best psych-style LPs from the 1980s. Not retro at all but (like Bobb Trimble) a piece of the late 1960s preserved from times rust. Male/female vocals lament and serenade the quest for knowledge of love and beauty in an appealing soundscape, with lyrical guitar leads throughout, good use of mellotron, occasional tablas, flute and bells. The recording has a definite 1981 sound but (again, like Bobb Trimble) this somehow becomes an advantage. Theres not a questionable song on this album, recommended to anyone open for a soft, dreamy trip inside the melancholy and bliss of an acid-tinted romance." -Patrick Lundborg, The Acid Archives "High-quality reissue in 180 gram vinyl, housed in a nice package with original artwork, unbeatable remastered sound quality and also including a huge 16-page booklet with lyrics and drawings. Limited edition of 500 copies only." -Guerssen

"Argentinian Miguel Cantilo joined a hippie commune in the fall of 1972. There he wrote many songs together with Kubero Diaz (La Cofradia de la Flor Solar), incredible hard-psychedelia and a slight folk flavour at times. This is an absolute must for any psychedelic rock fan with overwhelming dual guitar, and no doubt its one of the best Argentinian records of the 70s. This is its first vinyl reissue ever and the sound has been taken from original mastertapes resulting in a much better sound than the original! Title: Axe Music
Format: LP+CD
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $31.00
"Axe (also known as Axe Music and Crystalline by the time they recorded their rare acetate) were an obscure British psych band led by acid-rock guitar player extraordinaire Tony Barford and graced by Vivienne Jones ethereal vocals. In 1970, they recorded a demo album of which only 12 copies were pressed on a 10" acetate. Heres the first-ever straight reissue of this legendary artifact, as the previous "reissue" on the Kissing Spell label was altered without the bands consent and included new remixed tracks, added echo/phasing effects, altered song titles, etc. Here youll find the acetate recordings in their pure form: 100% unadulterated heavy psych and acid-rock sounds full of raw, fuzzed-out guitars and dreamy female vocals. Four impressive, original songs, plus a long, psyched-to-the-max cover of Loves "A House Is Not a Motel," which has to be heard to be believed. Carefully remastered from an original copy (master tapes were lost) in 24-bit. Unfortunately, no masters survived and no clean copy is known to exist of the original 10", but youll get the best result for the possibilities. New artwork (the original acetate came in a blank sleeve) and an insert with unseen pictures and liner notes by Paul Cross. And if all that wasnt enough, this release includes a CD with the same album, plus a bonus 8-minute video track featuring color silent footage of Crystalline/Axe playing live in 1970 with audio from the acetate added. Footage filmed by none other than Steve Giles (Dark)." -Guerssen.

Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"Damon. This is the artistic name of David Del Conte, a genius American gypsy musician who is responsible for probably the rarest and most sought-after psychedelic music album of all time. This album has a totally unique sound, with the crooner-like voice of Damon, the omnipresent melodic fuzz guitar of Charlie Carey and truly atmospheric melodies. Guerseen is very proud to be able to re-release Song of a Gypsy on vinyl format. This will come with the rarer gatefold cover (there were two original pressings, one in single cover and one in gatefold, with different artwork). This fabulous vinyl production comes with an extra 33rpm EP including the four tracks that were released on their two bloody rare singles, including an insert with photos and liner-notes, making this a very special release if all previous things werent enough." - Guerssen.

With help from local musician Guus Willemse of progressive band Solution, who played bass, drums and synth, Jan created Thoughts: psychedelic folk-rock/acid-folk with stunning guitar-playing and fragile, dreamy vocal harmonies. Artist: EVERYONE INVOLVED
Title: Either/Or
Format: LP + 7"
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $35.00
"First-ever reissue of this UK private press masterpiece from 1972. Everyone Involved was a hippie collective formed by well-trained musicians, assembled by Alan Wakeman and Michael Klein (Solid British Hat Band) to record a set of environmental protest songs. Some of the members of this London-based recording commune included vocalist Freya Hogue (ex-Sunforest), guitar player Lucinha Turnbull (later with Cilibrinas Do Eden/Rita Lee), and bass player Arnaldo "Liminha" Filho (Os Mutantes) among others. Either/Or is a perfectly played and professionally recorded album (something very unusual for a private pressing). Top-notch psychedelic folk-rock/acid-folk with male-female vocals, flute, electric-acoustic guitars, bass, drums and some freaky/weird arrangements/effects. The album is now also famous for including "A Gay Song," which is probably the earliest known example of a pro-open gay song. The original pressing of 1,000 copies was never distributed or sold at stores, all the copies were given away for free (even to people passing on the street!). One of the members even buried a large number of them in a time capsule in the Amazon rainforest. Needless to say, the original album has been a highly sought-after artifact since the early days of obscure psych-prog record-collecting. This reissue reproduces the original embossed cover and includes repros of the two rare inserts, including the giant fold-out poster with new liner notes and info printed in the reverse. Also included is a repro of the Save Piccadilly 7" single released in 1972, featuring a non-album track: "The Circus Keeps on Turning." Remastered sound from the original master tapes. Limited release of 500 copies only." -Guerssen.

Title: Fapardokly
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $29.00
"Fapardokly is probably regarded as the most important release in Merrell Fankhausers long career, and an absolute collectors item. The band recorded about 30 tracks in a small studio in Palmdale, California, from 1965 to 1967, when the owner of the studio decided to release an album with some of these tracks. With such different recording dates, you find here different sounds -- organized 60s pop, jangly folk-rock, psychedelia -- a truly fantastic album that finally gets, for the first time, a legit vinyl reissue and with the original artwork. Comes with an insert featuring photo from Merrells personal archive, and liner notes by him as well." -Guerssen

Title: S/T
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"Guerssen presents the first-ever reissue of this lost treasure, originally an obscure private pressing of just 100 copies. Gigymen were a college circuit band from Cambridge who in 1974 recorded their only album at Spaceward Studios. Stunning folk-rock/folk-pop with pro-recorded sound, superb musicianship and strong songwriting. With influences ranging from Fairport Convention to The Beatles, here youll find some superb folk-rock adaptations of traditional songs such as "As I Roved Out," "Gypsy Laddie" and "Rocky Road to Dublin" along with fab folk-pop with Beatlesque vocals on tracks like "Plain Jane" or "Gone Are The Days." The album was originally released with only a blank paper sheet with the credits on the cover, so Guerssen has designed a new front sleeve for their reissue. Insert with rare pictures and detailed liner notes also included. Remastered in 24-bit domain from the original master tapes." -Guerssen.

Artist: HARBINGER
Title: Second Coming
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
"Unknown to most 60s/70s collectors until its discovery a few years ago, this is the beyond rare second album released by loner/downer folk legend Dave Bixby, recorded around 1969, the same year as his first one, the now-famous Ode To Quetzalcoatl. Musically, Second Coming is equally as good and very similar to the first one, but this time the recording took place in a professional studio, so the sound is improved. Bixby is joined by Brian MacInness on guitar, Sandy Johnson on vocals and Don DeGraaf on bass and production duties. Don was in fact leader of the, in the end, destructive religious cult known as "The Group" or "The Movement," of which Bixby and Brian were part of. The sound is more up-front and the songs are slightly optimistic compared to the ones on Ode To Quetzalcoatl, and theres plenty of acoustic 12-string raga guitars and harmony male/female vocals. The lyrics deal with cosmic imagery, psychedelics and religious/biblical references, but this goes much deeper than any Xian record youve ever heard -- titles such as "Cosmic Energy," "Time To Clear Your Mind," "Rainbow," and "Circus World" point towards some sort of New Age/post-Revelations utopian consciousness. Reissued for the first time under license from Dave Bixby himself, and carefully remastered from a clean vinyl (no master tapes exist) at Shadoks Music Studios. Includes an insert with extensive and detailed liner notes by Matvei Procak -- the guy who found Bixby in 2006 -- plus some rare pictures. Also includes a free mp3 download code." - Guerssen.

Title: Second Coming
Format: CD
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $18.00
"Previously released on vinyl by Guerssen Records, now available on CD. Unknown to most 60s/70s collectors until its discovery a few years ago, this is the beyond rare second album released by loner/downer folk legend Dave Bixby, recorded around 1969, the same year as his first one, the now-famous Ode To Quetzalcoatl. Title: Get Stoned Ezy
Format: CD
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $18.00
"In 1982, the mysterious Steve Hall, a self-proclaimed "hippie-punk" who had previously released a couple of D.I.Y. basement-punk albums with his band Afflicted Man, recorded one of the most obscure, underrated and killer heavy-psych albums of all time. Credited to High Speed & The Afflicted Man, Get Stoned Ezy consists of three long tracks of late 60s/early 70s-influenced psychedelic hard-rock. A fuzz-wah assault of epic proportions in the style of other guitar-damage gods like Human Instinct, Wicked Lady, Hendrix, High Rise, Sabbath, Stooges, etc., all played with a real acid-punk attitude. Guerssen Records present the first-ever legit reissue of this lost masterpiece, licensed by Steve Hall. Price: $35.00
"With their roots traced in two legendary 60s garage bands, The Outcasts and The Stoics, Homer were without doubt one of the best psychedelic/hard-rock outfits from Texas. Rural psychedelic rock with early prog hints fuelled by stunning lead/dual guitar, melodic vocals and occasional mellotron. Presented in a 2LP expanded edition including their early singles, which are prime examples of 60s Texan garage-psych, plus previously-unreleased studio demo tracks recorded at the same time as the album. Newly remastered sound especially for this vinyl release, housed in a gatefold sleeve with detailed liner notes and rare pictures. 180 gram vinyl. "A Texas private press classic that spans several early 70s genres but still manages to sound like a coherent, personal work. A strongly played melodic rock trip somewhat like Mother Tuckers Yellow Duck." -Patrick Lundborg, Acid Archives.

Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
“Gatefold LP version. Steve Linnegar was an accomplished songwriter, musician, painter and martial arts disciple. A legendary figure from the South African 60s-70s underground music scene, the "hippie king of Cape Town" formed the Snakeshed band in the 70s along with top guitar-player Martin Kopelowitz and keyboardist/producer Peter Hubner. Refusing offers from some record labels who insisted they should go "commercial," they decided to record and release their first album, Classic Epics, all by themselves. Released in 1982 on their own private label, this record is one of the South African prog/psych crown jewels. Features layers of acoustic/electric guitars, Gilmour-alike guitar solos, ultra-melodic vocals, effects, and cool Tao-inspired lyrics. Culminates in the haunting 14-minute long "Desert." Remastered from the original tapes for the first time. Includes an insert with rare photos and liner notes by Aaron Milenski (Acid Archives).”- Guerssen.

Title: A New Light Shines
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"Ray "McKay" Pierle started recording his own songs in 1974 and in 1977 he released his first album, Into You, which is one of the finest West Coast/rural-rock private pressings ever. A New Light Shines collects previously-unreleased tracks recorded at home between 1974 and 1979. The overall sound here is more psychedelic, raw and loose than what you can hear on his other albums, Into You and Take Two, but you can expect the same kind of laid-back sound, top-level songwriting, Neil Young-esque vocals and outlaw guitars. An exciting find for any lover of West Coast/psychedelia/rural-rock/obscure U.S. private press sounds. Master tape sound, liner notes, and insert with lyrics." - Guerssen

Title: Your Heart Is Broken
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $27.00
"One of the most obscure U.S. private pressings from the late 60s/early 70s. For many years, The Misty Hush Revival name was only a rumor whispered in collectors circles, with only a handful of copies known of the original album around today. Like The Bachs or The Index, this is one of those hard-to-describe albums which seems to live in a world of its own. Despite the late 1972 release date, the music here sounds more late 60s than early 70s and the whole album has a cool, lost-in-time atmosphere. The group were in fact a club band from New Jersey, but surprisingly all the tracks are originals -- no cover versions -- and they range from fragile, dreamy pop-psych numbers to raw garage, fuzzed-out jams and teen-beat sounds. Like Patrick Lundborg says in Acid Archives: "A cool, atmospheric trip for fans of the tri-state late 60s club sound." First time-ever reissue, remastered on 24-bit. Includes the original artwork and an insert with rare pictures and liner notes by Jack D. Fleischer." -Guerssen.

This is their classic and sought-after first album from 1971. Remastered sound, insert with lyrics, photos and extensive liner notes by Patrick Lundborg. "The mix of bluesy urban L.A. exhaust fume vibes and tribal desert mystique is as archetypal an early 1970s SoCal trip as you can find. "Named after the galactic location of the nearest black hole to Earth, NGC-4594 only issued one single during their brief existence in 1967. But such was the majestic allure of Going home / Skipping through the night that a myth grew around NGC-4594, with rumors of a "great lost album" spoken about in hushed tones by connoisseurs of psychedelic music. Now that album, locked in the vaults for four decades, is finally available, along with the true story of this strangest of psychedelic bands from Storrs, Connecticut. Deluxe release in high quality carton cover, 180g vinyl, an insert with photos and extensive liner-notes." -Guerssen.

"...they sound like a jazzier East Coast version of The Doors, with lots of keyboards, Farfisa, crazed harmonica and wigged-out flute playing all piling on to make a woozy and airy sound. It wouldnt be too much of a stretch to hear connections to Sun Ra, The Velvet Underground and Country Joe And The Fish." - Hartford Advocate.

Artist: NOWIK, WILLIAM
Title: Pan symphony in E Minor
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $24.00
"One of the newest and most surprising discoveries in the 60s & 70s rock rarities field,  this caused big hype among collectors in the last months. Certainly easy to understand, as its an ace album no one had heard of before. Guitarist William Nowik recorded this obscure instrumental record back in 1974 in the NY area. Psychedelic, progressive, very early Floyd sounding at times, Crimson-esque, and a kind of sound that reminds on the British early 70s underground but with an experimental, trippy touch. Fourteen tracks in total, but played and arranged in suites. Seems that only 200 copies were pressed and never distributed, so it has taken 35 years to be discovered for the first time. This wonderful reissue comes with the intended original artwork (it came out in green and black cover instead of the black and white that William wanted), has nice remastered sound and includes an insert with rare unseen photos and extended liner-notes." - Guerssen.

Title: The Robinson Scratch Theory
Format: Double LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $35.00
“Bedroom/lo-fi psychedelia by unsung heroes of the 80s DIY cassette culture scene. From outsider synth-pop to Barrett-esque lysergic folk; from lo-fi garage-punk to basement prog: acid-fuzz guitars, cheap keyboards, primitive electronics, homemade vibes, and bizarre, funny lyrics. Pig Riderwere formed in Kent, UK, in the late 60s by John Mayes and Colin Kitchener. With the help from some friends they recorded and self-released a series of acetate-only psych-folk albums in the mid-70s (Heterophonies, Bloody Turkey Sandwiches...), which are prime examples of early DIY psychedelic music, highly sought-after since a review of Heterophoniesappeared in Richard Morton Jacks Galactic Ramblebook. In 2013, collector Alexandre Mansuy (from the influential Somewhere There Is Music blog) found Mayes and Kitchener and was astonished when they told him their story: Heterophonies was only one of their many, many great recordings, 22 in all, including 45s, acetates, and tapes. Thanks to Mansuy, Guerssen is launching a comprehensive Pig Rider reissue campaign, starting with The Robinson Scratch Theory. The compilation includes tracks originally recorded between 1980 and 1986 and released as private cassettes. Pig Riders sound brings to mind obscure DIY bands like The Desperate Bicycles,Instant Automatons, or Beyond the Implode -- if those bands knew how to write catchy and well-crafted songs. But the most amazing thing is that Pig Rider were creating this kind of music for their own amusement without any knowledge of the post-punk or DIY movement. Although they were listening to bands like the Bonzos, Pink Floyd, and The Misunderstood -- "I played their Children of the Sun 45 until the groove was worn out!" says Kitchener -- Pig Rider claim that the main influence on what they played was the availability of instruments and what they could do with them -- not always what they were designed for -- and always pushing their limits. The Robinson Scratch Theory is presented in master tape sound with an insert/booklet containing detailed liner notes and photos. The compilation is released in advance of first-ever reissues of two of Pig Riders ultra-rare 70s acetates, Bloody Turkey Sandwiches (1974) and Heterophonies (1975). Welcome to the twisted world of one of the truly pioneering DIY psychedelic pop bands.” - Guerrssen.

Title: Heaven We Blue
Format: Double LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $35.00
"First ever legit vinyl reissue of Rick Saucedos mind-expanding, one-man, multi-tracked private press miracle in sound from 1978. Master tape sound; original artwork; includes insert with interview with Saucedo and detailed liner notes by Jeremy Cargill (Got Kinda Lost/Ugly Things). Heaven Was Blue drifts in the same sonic milieu as fellow travelers in 60s square peg joy Darius, Marcus, D.R. Hooker (without the lounge allusions), or late period psych adventurers Michael Angelo and Bobb Trimble -- and his concentration and vision equals or exceeds these international underground heroes. Rick Saucedo is an internationally-known Elvis tribute artist, actor, and singer-songwriter from Chicago. In 1978, after some years of doing his Elvis show, he decided he wanted to have his own identity, and recorded an album with his own songs, influenced by The Beatles and Pink Floyd. All instruments on the album were played by Rick with help from a couple of friends. Songs like "Reality," which was written in a graveyard just after the passing of Mr. Presley, or "In My Mind," which dates back to 1967, written just after Sgt. Pepper had come out, are prime examples of dreamy acid psych with Lennon-esque vocals, lysergic guitars, and studio effects. Theres also a couple of fuzz rockers with a strong 50s vibe, and then theres the album centerpiece: the impressive 18-minute "Heaven Was Blue" suite, which Rick envisioned as an "acid trip dream." In words of Patrick Lundborg, "Saucedo pulls it off. Somehow like how you turn the wheels on a kaleidoscope, new melodies, guitar figures and arrangements emerge out of the old ones every three minutes, each sequence more swirling and enchanting that the last, with a sense of progression throughout." This expanded reissue offers a full extra album of bonus tracks: "Oh My God" was the conclusion to "Reality" and "In My Mind," recorded in 1978 but omitted from the original album at the last moment. Previously unreleased on vinyl until now. "Baby in the Sand" and "It Burns Again Today" were written during the Heaven Was Blue sessions but went unrecorded until 1991; theyre terrific sitar-drenched melodic psych in the same vein as the original album. Previously unreleased on vinyl until now. And theres also both sides of the post-album single Reality/History Makin - Country Shakin, which featured different mixes and an alternate mix of "Reality." These tracks were originally released as promo 45s in very limited quantities." - Guerssen.

"In 1967, a bunch of U.S. and Argentinean kids recorded a magical album which has remained unknown for many years due to its extreme rarity, with less than a handful of copies known to exist. Released in 1968 in Argentina by a label called Phonexa, the Schibbinz album could be regarded as the ultimate teen garage folk-rock album, ever. An album of fragile beauty, full of teen charm, innocent vocals, jangly guitars, charming, lo-fi sound and a lost-in-time atmosphere. It has the look and sound that can only be found on some U.S. 60s private-pressings like Rising Storm or Summer Sounds, but Schibbinz music is something else. Guerssen Records is proud to present this wonderful and mega-rare vinyl album to the world, with the production fully benefitting from the bands involvement and assistance. The original master tapes were lost, but the sound has been carefully-remastered from an original near-mint copy. Extensive, detailed liner-notes and lots of cool pictures from the bands archives are all included in a 4-page insert." -Guerssen.

"180 gram LP version. Guerssen Records present what is for them the major discovery in the Spanish psych-prog collector scene: a previously-unreleased album from 1970 by this obscure Spanish garage-psych band. Until now, Shock! were a total mystery. They only released one 45 at the time (the killer acid-fuzz punker "No se puede ser Superman") and nothing was known about the band until the label tracked them down. We discovered that prior to their 45 release, they recorded a whole album which was never released. Shocks music is underground garage-psychedelia with crude acid-fuzz guitar, effects, and English vocals: think of Agua de Regaliz, early Pan & Regaliz, Cerebrum or even obscure Brazilian bands such as Tobruk, but with a more primitive sound. The album features 10 songs, including the original versions of the two tracks later re-recorded for their only 45: No se puede ser Superman (titled here "Im Being Mad," its a different and superior English-sung version) and "I Want to Laugh" (a longer version than the one included on the 45). Remastered from the original 2-track tape (which is unfortunately not in perfect condition, but more than good enough), including an insert with detailed liner notes in English/Spanish." - Guerssen.

Ultra-raw basement sound with devastating guitars and fantastic Hammond organ all around, sometimes sounding like a heavier version of Hunger. "180 gram LP version. Subway was a duo consisting of an American and a guy from the UK who released their only album in France in an edition of 200 LPs in 1972. They lived and played for some time as street musicians, even performing their compositions in the Parisian subway, hence the band name. Unfortunately, the album fell through, so the unsold records were melted, as was usual in France at the time. The band performed fantastic psych-folk music with prog-rock elements. An absolutely top album and a must for any psych and folk fan. This vinyl edition is housed in a high quality carton cover and pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Brilliant, fully remastered sound quality. “First-ever vinyl reissue of this mysterious and haunting UK folk album, originally released as a private pressing in 1980. Totally 70s sound with nice male/female vocals, acoustic guitars, flute, and percussion. Compared to Spriguns, Tickawinda, and Gallery. 24-bit remastering and new, improved artwork with liner notes by band member Dave Smith.” - Guerssen. "...a delicate acoustic LP in the manner of Tickawinda." --Richard Falk (Galactic Ramble); "Ignore the year on this, its massively rare and one of the best UK folk LPs youll ever hear. Two accomplished acoustic guitarists, one of whom also sings, and a great female lead vocalist. Fantastic sound on this LP, it feels like theyre right in the room with you. They perform a mix of traditional British folk songs and engaging original material; really a great band and they would surely have been signed to Decca or CBS a decade earlier." - Clark Faville.

"One of the most exciting finds in recent years is the previously-unreleased album from 1967 by this obscure U.S. psychedelic band, recorded around the same time of their ultra-rare Common Attitude 45, (famous for appearing on the Alien, Psychos & Wild Things comp). Led by the great Richard Orange,Thomas Edisun played Beatlesque, psychedelic pop/proto power-pop of the highest order with amazing songs and incredible harmony vocals. In 1967, just after Sgt. Pepper had come out, the band decided to register their own psychedelic masterpiece, so they entered a rudimentary studio and recorded a whole album during a weekend, under the influence of "smoking" and "mind-altering" substances . The album was never released, the tapes were stored in attics and basements, and the band broke up with some of their members forming cult power-pop band Zuider Zee.The Red Day Album ranges from pure Emitt Rhodes-Macca pop to Forever Amber/Lazy Smoke-styled lo-fi pop-sike and almost early Caravan keyboard freak-outs. Remastered sound from the original tapes. Includes an insert with photos and detailed liner notes by Jeremy Cargill (Ugly Things/Got Kinda Lost). "Coming from the same Minneapolis 60s scene which spawned bands like The Litter, Thundertree evolved from garage band The Good Idea. In 1970 they released their sole album for the Roulette label: a perfect example of the transition from psychedelia to hard-rock and early progressive sounds. Killer fuzzed-out guitar, organ, and powerful vocals. Including hard-psych classics like "In the Morning" and "Room at the Top of the Stairs" along with the monstrous 17-minute long "2025" suite. For this, the first-ever legit vinyl reissue of Thundertree, Guerssen has included two previously-unreleased tracks: "Pepper Palace" (a great psychedelic number) plus a storming cover of "Sixteen Tons," which was the signature song in Thundertrees live shows. Both tracks were recorded at UA Studios, Minneapolis, in 1970. "This is the second album from Oregons The Tree People, the late 70s predecessors to the ongoing new folk movement in the USA. You already know about their 1979 debut album and you know its a masterpiece, but did you know about their second album recorded in 1984? Surely not, especially because it was a cassette-only release with a very short print-run. Luckily enough, The Tree People guys kept the mastertapes of these recordings and Guerssen Records is proud to be making this wonderful music available again. Reissued on CD with a vinyl version to come later, the sound quality is splendid, and the music itself is equally as good, if not better than, their self-titled debut and is a real must for any folk and psych-folk lover. Acoustic guitars, subtle percussion, wonderful flute work and some warm vocals -- overall, this is a real big dose of quality and originality that makes The Tree Peoples music absolutely ahead of its time and therefore so much admired today. A real beauty! This CD includes a booklet with liner notes by the bands leader Stephen Cohen, as well as some nice pictures." -Guerssen

Title: The Story of My Life: Complete Recordings
Format: Double LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: Spain
Price: $35.00
"Double LP of 60s punk, garage, moody sounds and proto-hard-rock of the highest order. Complete recordings (1966-1975) of this legendary band from Michigan, including their three killer 45s plus unreleased recordings and alternate takes. Includes master tape sound and an insert with photos and liner notes. Unrelated Segments created some of the most celebrated garage-punk anthems of all time. Tracks like "Cry, Cry, Cry" with its teenage-angst vocals and out of control fuzztone guitar break, "The Story of My Life" with that bizarre and ultra-punk bass line or the moody-punker "Its Gonna Rain" have been included on countless garage comps (Back from the Grave, Acid Dreams, Nuggets, etc.) and have been covered by numerous bands who worship them as 60s punk gods. Sadly, the band never got the chance to record a full album. After three outstanding 45s, they recorded a projected fourth single that never saw the light of day, just when the band had changed its name to U.S. and had started playing in a heavier vein, similar to early MC5. Soon after, the band split up and some of their members formed psych-rock band Lost Nation. On this collection, along with their official 45s and alternate takes/rehearsals, youll find the unreleased 45 from 1969 plus some demos recorded by an unnamed post-Unrelated Segments/Lost Nation band in 1972. An amazing find which shows the band playing pure Detroit high-energy hard rock." - Guerssen.

"Complete recordings (1969-1974) of legendary U.S. acid-punk band Unsettled Society, famous for appearing on the seminal psych compilation Endless Journey back in the 80s. But Unsettled Society have been a total mystery until now. The band came from the New York suburbs and were famous locally for their powerful stage shows, full of strobe and psychedelic flashing lights. In 1969 they released their first 45 for the Charm label: "17 Diamond Studded Cadillacs," which is pure acid-psych, lo-fi basement insanity. It was coupled with "Passion Seeds," a killer moody, atmospheric psych ballad. Between 1972 and 1974 they released two more 45s in a fantastic heavy psych vein, the last one recorded under the Thunder Head name. All of them are included here with sound taken from the original tapes. Includes a fold-out insert with lots of amazing unseen photos and detailed liner notes by Charm Records boss Pete Huntley. Format: 3 LP Box

Price: $59.00
"Three-LP box version in purple-and-gold hot-foil-stamped box with eight-page insert and poster. A treasure trove of previously unreleased West Coast guitar psychedelia, 1966-1975. "Uther Pendragon was more than just a band, it was a family. Closer than brothers, they lived together, made music together, worked, played, laughed, cried and dreamed together." --Mike Stax (Ugly Things)
This is the incredible story of Uther Pendragon, a lost psychedelic band from San Francisco whose music has remained buried until now. Formed in the Bay Area in 1966 as a teen garage group called Blue Fever, Uther Pendragon lasted from 1966 until 1978. During that time, the band went through different names and phases, as their music evolved from garage to psychedelia to hard rock, but the core of the band always remained the same: Mark Lightcap (rhythm guitar, vocals), Bruce Marelich (lead guitar, vocals), and Martin Espinosa (bass, vocals). After finding their ultimate drummer in Mike Beers, the group finally settled on the Uther Pendragon name in the early 70s. But despite being active for all that time and recording at numerous studios (including their own in Palo Alto), Uther Pendragon never released any recordings. Their complex and fascinating story, which involves winning a Bay Area Battle of the Bands and playing with Country Joe & The Fish, recording a killer garage-psych 7" acetate in 1967, going to the legendary Pacific Recording Studios in 1969 to record a demo, living as a family in the same house for many years and rehearsing seven days a week, building their own recording studio and music corporation, being managed by Craig Pedersen (Something Wild, Tripsichord Music Box), being involved in an occult-themed rock opera called Sabbat, and much more, is told with all the details by Mike Stax from Ugly Things in this sets extensive liner notes, with rare photos. Produced from the bands vast archive of original master tapes, San Francisco Earthquake includes their unknown-until-now 7" acetate from 1967 (fab garage-psych in the vein of The Human Expression or The Music Machine); tracks from 1966-69 including a groundbreaking, moody psycher from 1966; a demo tape from 1969 recorded at Pacific Recording -- an incredible document for any lover of early SF garage-psych (think Oxford Circle, The Savage Resurrection, Moby Grape . . .) -- and many tracks recorded at their home studio in Palo Alto. 100% unadulterated West Coast guitar psych and hard rock that recalls QMS and even Kurihara-era White Heaven." - Guerssen.

"In 1970, when Swiss garage-beat band Les Sauterelles split, their leader, Toni Vescoli, decided to start a solo career. At first, inspired by Dylan, he thought of going strictly acoustic, but he soon changed his mind and started incorporating psychedelic and electric elements to his sound, such as feedback, primitive drum machines, guitars and vocals filtered through Leslie speakers etc., as he was also influenced by bands like Pink Floyd and King Crimson. He also incorporated into his repertoire some of the songs he had written for the never-recorded Sauterelles concept album, Seven Deadly Sins. In 1971, Toni released his debut solo album, Information, a folk-rock/psychedelic gem which reflected his influences at the time: folk, rock, psychedelia, and progressive-rock. From fragile acoustic numbers to dark, wigged-out psychedelic tracks, this is highly recommended to anyone into C.Q.-era Outsiders or Frank Nuyens Rainman album. Stunning mastertape sound, original gatefold sleeve, repro of the rare poster and insert with detailed liner-notes by Mike Stax." -Guerssen.

"Released as a private edition of only 200 copies in 1977 on the Joint label (but recorded two years earlier, in 1975), Warlus Songs could be regarded as the king of all French 70s obscure private pressings. Warlus was the brainchild of young musician Richard Maubert, who created a mini-masterpiece of twisted, melancholic, fuzzed-out psychedelic-pop, with a charming homemade sound/production and druggy atmosphere. Sung in English, it also brings to mind other obscure USA private pressings like Kath. This is a very special record that will appeal to both psych aficionados and fans of 70s DIY weirdness. If you like other French private pressings like Dandelion and Les Temps Heureux, youll be amazed when you hear Warlus. The reissue includes liner notes and pictures. Carefully remastered from a clean original copy (master tapes were lost in time), and done under permission of Richard Maubert." -Guerssen.

Title: Visions of Time: Complete Recordings
Format: LP
Label: Guerssen
Country: USA
Price: $27.00
"Guerssen presents Visions of Time, the amazing story of We the People, a 60s teen band from LA (not to be confused with the Florida band of the same name) that created an amazing blend of garage, folk rock, and psychedelic sounds. Between 1967 and 1968, this group of four young kids recorded a few 45s for Reena Records, two of them released under the name American Zoo. Despite their young age, the band members were accomplished musicians and songwriters. They debuted in 1967 with Feelings of My Emptiness/For No One to See, two amazing pieces of moody garage with superb vocal harmonies and arrangements. Their second 45, Back Street Thoughts/Who Am I?, offered two pieces of introspective psychedelia with some over the top tape/echo effects courtesy of Dal Kacher, a session guitarist and sound engineer who had been part of early lineup of The Mothers of Invention. "Who Am I?" was included decades later in Diminishing Returns, a famous psych mix by DJ Shadow. In 1968, the group released their third 45, this time as American Zoo: Mr. Brotherhood/Magdalena featured two more examples of outstanding garage psychedelia. A second pressing of the 45 was released with a new mix of "Mr. Brotherhood," losing one minute but incorporating some wild electronic effects. In the 1980s, the song was included on such legendary compilations as High All the Time (PAPR 1002LP/PAPR 2106CD/PAPR 2113CD) and Psychedelic Unknowns. That same year, American Zoo released their last 45, Back Street Thoughts/What Am I?; the B-side is a reworking of "Who Am I?" with more psychedelic production by Kacher. Even more amazing than the story of these young musicians is the story of what happened to them later: guitar player Bill Bottrell has gone on to win Grammy Awards as a producer, working with Michael Jackson, Madonna, and George Harrison, among others. Drummer Jason "Jasun" Martz toured with Frank Zappa and recorded with Michael Jackson, and is now a well-known avant-garde artist and sculptor. Steve Zaillian, the first We the People drummer, won an Academy Award for his screenplay of Schindlers List (1993). This collection includes all the We the People/American Zoo 45 sides plus two previously unreleased tracks from 1967, taken from the only surviving copy of the bands 10" demo acetate. Carefully remastered sound. LP version with insert featuring rare photos and detailed liner notes by Gray Newell (Shindig!, Ugly Things). " - Guerssen.

"A major star in Afghanistan in the 70s until his death, and a legend today, Ahmad Zahir has something impressive to offer to all Western ears open to exotic rock and pop sounds. Compiled from his vast discography, heres a selection with some of his best tracks, an astounding set showing his unique, distinct psychedelic sound. All centered around his deep voice, and with the use of electric guitar (including some wah-wah), stunning, reverb-heavy drums, some sitar and tabla, organ, flutes and bass, these are incredible folk-pop tunes from another world. Remastered from the original master tapes and including extensive liner notes." -Guerssen
