Artist: BOX, THE
Title: Live - Muscle Out +
Format: CD
Label: Klanggalerie
Country: Austria
Price: $20.00
"The Box were formed in 1981 in Sheffield out of the ashes of Clock DVA. DVA members Paul Widger,Roger Quail and Charlie Collins recruited new member Terry Todd and tried several vocalists including Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire before deciding on Peter Hope. After two albums on Go Discs they linked up with the Cabs Doublevision label where they released some EPs in a more electronic style. Muscle Out is a recording of a gig at Sheffields The Leadmill on January 29th, 1985, and was first released on Cabaret Voltaires Doublevision label, mastered at Western Works. This new edition has been remastered and expanded. Sheffield sound never got more innovative and wild than this! A classic." - Klanggalerie.

Artist: CHAKK
Title: Clocks And Babies
Format: CD
Label: Klanggalerie
Country: Austria
Price: $21.00
"Chakk existed between 1981 and 1987. Their first single, Out Of The Flesh, was recorded with Richard H. Kirk at Cabaret Voltaires Western Works studio and mixed and engineered by Alan Cross, a member of the band who had studio training. Chakks original sound was centred around Cross four track tape machine, some home built echo and effects boxes and a small mixing desk. They had always believed that the most important instrument a band could use was the studio itself. The first album by Sheffield electro funk group Chakk was originally released as a cassette by the band themselves in 1982. Personnel for this album: Mark Tattersall (also in Element/Transelement, drummer for Cabaret Voltaire on various recordings), Mark Brydon (also in Moloko, Hula), Sim Lister (also in Heights of Abraham), Alan Cross (DJ Alan X). This early recording, unheard by most people until today, presents a much jazzier and funkier Chakk than later Fon releases. It could be compared to early Clock DVA. Theres also a lot of Cabaret Voltaire here, some Hula, also some Industrial music. The album is one wild ride of styles and sounds. Its a fantastic document of its time, and at the same time a timeless and brilliant piece of music. Carefully remastered for this first digital release." - Klanggalerie.

Artist: RANDOM, ERIC
Title: Words Made Flesh
Format: CD
Label: Klanggalerie
Country: Austria
Price: $21.00
"Eric Random is a multi-instrumentalist from Manchester. He formed The Tiller Boys with Pete Shelley in the late 70s, released a solo album in 1980 and then fronted the group The Bedlamites. At that time, a lot of world music influences appeared in Erics music. The group was also Nicos band during her last years, and Random the bandleader. Ties were formed with the Sheffield music scene, and soon Cabaret Voltaire worked with Eric, producing the seminal album Time-Splice. In the 1990s Eric reformed another side project of his, The Free Agents. A whole album was recorded, but only two tracks ever saw the light of day. After a longer hiatus Eric returned to the scene with his solo album Man Dog in 2014 and started playing live again. Klanggalerie are now proud to present the all-new album Words Made Flesh. It is dancier than Man Dog, and the world music traces have disappeared. On one song, Random has teamed up with Stephen Mallinder of Cabaret Voltaire and more recently Wrangler. Watch out for Eric live in 2016." - Klanggalerie.

Artist: SCATTERED ORDER
Title: A Dancing Foot and a Praying Knee Still Dont Belong on the Same Leg
Format: CD
Label: Klanggalerie
Country: Austria
Price: $20.00
"A Dancing Foot And A Praying Knee Dont Belong On The Same Leg was released in 1984 on Volition Records, Australia. It was Scattered Orders second album after Prat Culture. Their sound was by then still very much in the postpunk tradition, but more electronic elements kept coming in. Of course, there are also Mitchell Joness trademark vocals to be heard, and some noisy elements break up the rock sound. As with Prat Culture, there are lots of bonus tracks on this re-issue including four never before heard live versions and some rarities." - Klanggalerie.
