Artist: ARTEMIEV, EDWARD
Title: Solaris: Music From The Motion Picture By Andrey Tarkovsky
Format: LP
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $35.00
"Originally released in The Netherlands in 1990 on a long out of print - and now $150+ on eBay - 2LP, Mirumir is pleased to present this collection of classic Artemiev film scores as two separate and single 180 gram LPs in what are, in our humble opinion, far more beautiful and breathtaking covers with better sound quality than the original. Recorded in Moscow in 1989-90, these are re-recordings of Artemievs soundtracks to three classic 1970s Tarkovsky films. At the time of its release in 1990, there were no legitimately available versions of the original soundtracks and Artemiev chose to fill that void in the market with these re-recordings. All officially licensed from the artist himself." -Mirumir.

Title: Stalker/The Mirror: Music From Andrey Tarkovskys Motion Picture
Format: LP
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $33.00
2016 repress; 2013 release. “Edward Artemievs re-recording of his scores to Andrei Tarkovskys classic films Зеркало (Mirror) (1975) and Сталкер (Stalker) (1979), reissued on 180-gram vinyl. When Artemiev recorded these scores in Moscow in 1989 and 90, there were no legitimately available releases of the original soundtracks. Artemiev chose to fill that void himself with these recordings, released on Torso Kino in the Netherlands as part of a 1990 double-LP set also containing re-recordings of Artemievs score to Солярис (Solaris) (1972). This set is now long out of print, and Mirumir is pleased to present the collection on two separate LP releases, remastered, with new artwork, and officially licensed by the artist himself.” - Mirumir.

Artist: BAILEY, DEREK
Title: Improvisation
Format: LP
Label: Mirumir
Country: Italy
Price: $28.00
"The godfather of improvisational guitar, Derek Baileys praises have been sung far and wide by everyone from Pat Metheny to Karlheinz Stockhausen for having revolutionized the way the instrument was played over the last half of the twentieth century. Although fans are often frustrated by the low-fidelity of his earlier recordings, this 1975 LP (originally released on the Italian avant-garde label, Cramps), stands out in that regard. Recorded in an actual studio (unlike most of his early work) in Milan, for this session Bailey was apparently asked by his Italian hosts to define improvisation. He then proceeded to give his answer in the form of these fourteen tracks (eight performed with electric guitar, five with six-string acoustic guitar, and one with a 19-string acoustic guitar). 180 gram vinyl reissue with printed inner sleeve." -Mirumir.

Format: LP
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation

The wok was commissioned for the Aterforum festival in Ferrara, Italy, and premiered on July 9, 1988. This is the first release of a performance recorded live at Glance Studio, Milan, Italy, on June 28, 1988. Produced by Roberto Cacciapaglia and Gianpiero Dionigi." - Mirumir

Artist: CACCIAPAGLIA, ROBERTO
Title: Generazioni del Cielo
Format: Double LP/CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $38.00
“Originally released in 1986, Italian pianist and composer Roberto Cacciapaglias Generazioni del Cielo is a contemporary musical work in the form of oratory; it is born from a development of matured musical language across polyvalent experiences, ranging from classical to pop composition. The subject originates from the will to tell an unusual story, a story without events but with real emotions, drawing from contemporary literature and sacred texts. In the production, the music, which was classically conceived, is projected into an environment of technological media, where the ancient and the modern interact. Presented on double LP with CD included. Remastered at Glance Studio.” - Mirumir.

Artist: CACCIAPAGLIA, ROBERTO
Title: Sei Note in Logica
Format: LP/CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $28.00
"An impossible to find album, reissued for the first time ever on vinyl! 1979s Sei Note in Logica is Italian experimental composer Roberto Cacciapaglias second LP, a minimalist album that features one continual composition for four voices, computer, and orchestral ensemble, in the same vein as Fred Rzewski, Steve Reich, and Terry Riley. Unlike anything else coming out of Italy at the time, Cacciapaglia (who worked for Italys national Department of Phonology) is also quite advanced in his use of computer-based technology. A major influence on the likes of Jim ORourke and others of his ilk." - Mirumir. 180 gram vinyl. Comes with a bonus CD of the album, which includes an extra acoustic version of the entire album.

Title: Sonanze
Format: LP/CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $27.00
"An influential member of the Italian avant-garde, Roberto Cacciapaglia has spent the last four decades blurring the lines between classical and electronic music, developing a sound that has never been restricted by genre. A classically trained pianist and composer from Milan, Cacciapaglia first came to prominence in the early seventies as keyboardist for the king of experimental Italian pop, Franco Battiato. After recording his own debut LP, 1975s Sonanze in Milan, Cacciapaglia traveled to the Ohr/Cosmic Couriers studios in Cologne to mix the results under the watchful of eye of krautrock overlord Rolf-Kaiser Ulrich (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Ash Ra Tempel). The resulting album was a mix of electronic (moog, synth) and classical instruments (guitar, oboe, trombone, clarinet) that was experimental in the cosmische sense, but with the musical chops and vision of a classically trained musician. 180 gram vinyl. Comes with a bonus CD of the album, includes15 bonus tracks recorded between 1972-74, but not released until 2000." - Mirumir.

Title: The Ann Steel Album
Format: LP/CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $27.00
Mirumir presents The Ann Steel Album, a reissue of an album of Roberto Cacciapaglia compositions sung by Ann Steel, originally released in 1979 as a self-titled album credited to Steel. "So who are Roberto Cacciapaglia and Ann Steel? The former is an Italian musician who specialized in electronic composition after starting his career in the early 1970s on the edges of the krautrock scene. The latter is a Michigan-bred singer who spun into Cacciapaglias orbit during a trip to Italy in the 1970s to do some modeling. The Ann Steel Album is the one-off result of that happy accident, a record so full of joy that its a surprise they werent tempted to go back for another bite once it was in the can. But its a credit to both of them that they knew when to stop, perhaps feeling that the sugary pop perfection of these recordings could never be replicated. Theres a clunky charm to many of the synth sounds, most of which influenced bands like Stereolab and the perennially underrated Pram in future years; Steel even has a strain to her voice thats reminiscent of Pram singer Rosie Cuckston" --Pitchfork. This reissue is presented on LP with CD included, and features two bonus tracks and an insert with lyrics. Remastered at Glance Studio.

Artist: CAGE, JOHN
Title: Cheap Imitation
Format: LP
Label: Mirumir
Country: Italy
Price: $28.00
"Recorded at Mills College in Oakland, CA in March 1976, this LP represents one of the very few examples of John Cage performing his own work. Actually written in 1969, Cheap Imitation, composed for solo piano, is based on Erik Saties symphonic drama Socrate. An example of one of Cages indeterminate pieces, here Saties Socrate undergoes a series of variations based on the random extraction of hexagrams from the I-Ching. 180 gram vinyl reissue. Pocket gatefold LP with printed inner sleeve and liner notes." -Mirumir.

Artist: CAGE, JOHN
Title: Empty Words (Parte III)
Format: Triple LP Boxset
Label: Mirumir
Country: Italy
Price: $64.00
"When John Cage took to the stage at Milans Teatro Lirico on 2 December 1977 to read from a portion of his not yet published book, Empty Words, little did he know that he was about to incite one of the great art riots of the twentieth century! As Cage reads aloud in what sounds like a nonsensical language (the result of using the I-Ching to extract a series of sounds and syllables from the journal of Henry David Thoreau), the Italian audience (many of whom did not really know who Cage was or what to expect from the performance) begins to grow increasingly unruly, eventually yelling for Cage to get off the stage! Cage, however, simply ignores it and keeps right on reading above the din for over 2 full hours. This fully remastered triple LP box set of this historic performance also features an explanatory text along with accompanying illustrations and photographs of the event. 180 gram vinyl." -Mirumir.

Artist: CARDEW, CORNELIUS
Title: Nova Musicha No. 6: Four Principles on Ireland and Other Pieces (1974)
Format: LP
Label: Mirumir
Country: Italy
Price: $28.00
"Having worked closely with Karlheinz Stockhausen during the late 1950s, the Irish-born Cornelius Cardew became a major figure on the European avant-garde music scene over the following decade. However, by the early 1970s Cardew had become deeply involved in the international communist movement, which created a growing rift between himself and his colleagues (particularly after his book Stockhausen Serves Imperialism was published in 1974). As Cardews politics changed, so did his music, which began drawing more and more from the populist roots of folk music. On this LP Cardew proposes a series of compositions based on the revolutionary songs of different countries (i.e. the Irish Rebellion of 1798, the Islamic Rebellion of 1937, the uprisings in West Berlin in the early seventies). It is perhaps not surprising that Cardews new music found a home in Italy of the 1970s (this LP was originally released on the Italian Cramps label), as the Italian Communist Party was extremely strong during this era. 180 gram vinyl reissue. Pocket gatefold LP with printed inner sleeve." -Mirumir.

Artist: EMBRYO
Title: Africa
Format: LP + CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $28.00
"Africa - originally released in 1992 on Materiali Sonori - may be a late entry in the Embryo catalog but it was one of their most ambitious and truly progressive albums to date. Like the name implies, the Munich group not only draws influence from the continent to their south, but even employs an African percussion ensemble on many tracks. A hypnotic and beautiful affair reissued on LP by Mirurmir for the first time since its original release." - Mirumir.

Artist: EMBRYO
Title: Embryos Rache
Format: LP + CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $27.00
"Despite being released only a year after their debut - in 1971 - Embryos Rache shows the band progressing significantly towards the ethnic/world-rock fusion that would come to be their stock in trade. Though still firmly in the jazz/krautrock realm, the album contains deep Eastern flourishes that separate them from the standard progressive crowd. A stunning album from Christian Burchards Munich group reissued here with a bonus track, Back To Africa, recorded live in 1973." - Mirumir.

Artist: EMBRYO
Title: Opal
Format: LP + CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $27.00
"Originally released in 1970 on the Ohr label, Opal is the debut album from Munich jazz-rock legends Embryo. Falling somewhere between the krautrock groove of Can and the jazz-rock experimentalism of Bitches Brew, Opal laid the foundation for the mind expanding world-rock-fusion that was soon to come from Christian Burchard and company. This reissue contains You Better Have Some Fun taken from the same session, originally not included into the album." - Mirumir.

Title: Zack Gluck
Format: LP + CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $28.00
"Effortlessly fusing krautrock with jazz and ethnic music, Embryo were unparalleled in the world of progressive fusion and 1984s Zack Glück is one of their most ambitious and rewarding LPs. Flutes and saxophones mix with oud, marimba, and violin to make an intoxication concoction. Originally released on Italians Sonori label, Mirumir is pleased to present the very first official vinyl reissue of this prog classic." - Mirumir.

Artist: SCHULZE AND GUNTER SCHICKERT, KLAUS
Title: The Schulze-Schickert Session
Format: CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $22.00
"For the first time, from the vaults of electronic music guru, Klaus Schulze, comes The Schulze-Schickert Session, a rare and previously unreleased private session featuring echo-guitar pioneer Günter Schickert. Recorded on 26 September 1975 in Klaus Schulzes home studio in Hambuehren, Germany, Schulze can be heard playing an EMS Synthi A, as well as keyboards, and a Syntanorma, while Schickert plays a 12-string Framus with metal strings and also sings on a few tracks. Although Schickerts name is little-known outside of a very select circle of krautrock fans, he was a key member of the Berlin free jazz scene of the 1960s and a pioneer of the echo-guitar. Just prior to the recording of this informal session, Schickerts first LP, Samtvogel, was released on the seminal Brain label. On the two bonus tracks, found only on theCD version, Schickerts playing ebbs, as Schulze takes on the more dominant role." -Mirumir.

"6-panel trifold digipak "special" edition-- this has the same music (including two bonus tracks) as on the jewel case edition (MIR 100704CD), but the digipak packaging offers an enhanced presentation far removed from the cold, meaningless experience jewel cases offer to sociopaths and prison inmates." - FE. Title: Official Klaus Schulze Boot Vol. 1: Stars Are Burning
Format: Double LP
Label: Mirumir
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $36.00
"This double-LP set contains a recording of a performance by Klaus Schulze at Brussels University on April 16, 1977. The double-LP also includes a track exclusive to the vinyl edition of the release, "Invisible Musik," recorded in Schulzes studio in Hambühren in November 2007 and originally released on the 2008 compilation Muting the Noise 01. In this excerpt from his liner notes, Klaus Dieter Mueller recalls the process of releasing this singular artifact: "During his career Klaus has played 380 concerts, 119 as soloist and the others with guests or in a group such as Psy Free, Ash Ra Tempel, Tangerine Dream, or Stomu Yamashtas Go. Some of these concerts were recorded and some of it was already released. The very first was the double LP album ...Live... in 1980, and KS promised then, as it was printed on the cover: This is my first and last live album. Meanwhile... we have a few more concert recordings of Klaus Schulze released, for posterity... and for enjoyment of the present listeners. These historic concert recordings from the concert tour in 1977 were partly available before on an illegal bootleg. We had the obvious idea to make this album (and maybe others) finally official." Housed in a gatefold sleeve." - Mirumir.

Title: Time to Decide
Format: LP/CD
Label: Mirumir
Country: Italy
Price: $28.00
A compilation of rare studio and live tracks from the band, circa 1978-1980, not on RVNG Intl.s Music Is Painting In The Air... collection. On 180 gram vinyl with CD of the album. "Formed by Florentine guitarist Franco Falsini (formerly of Noi Tre) and American drummer Keith Edwards, Sensations Fix was one of the most exciting acts to come out of the Italian music scene of the 1970s. Beginning in 1974, from their outpost in the Florentine countryside, Falsini and Edwards (along with bassist Richard Ursillo) recorded a handful of excellent albums that were more closely aligned with the German Krautrock scene of the era than Italian prog." - Mirumir.
