Title: Ich Traume So Leise Von Dir
Format: 12"
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $20.00
"Music From Memory present a few tracks from Heinz Becker, Karl-Heinz Stegmann and Isabel Zeumers 1987 album Ich Träume So Leise Von Dir. One off German studio project with spoken word and electronics." - Music From Memory.

Artist: BIBILONI, JOAN
Title: El Sur
Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $20.00
"Staying on the Mediterranean coast for their third release, Music From Memory this time shift their attention to the work of Mallorcan musician Joan Bibiloni. Primarily a guitarist, Bibiloni was creating music at an early age, releasing his first single at the tender age of 15. In his 20s he formed Spanish prog-rock outfits Zebra and Euterpe, where he would meet Pepe Milan, the two of them becoming the bluesy folk duo Milan & Bibiloni. Bibiloni himself would later go on to play with a number of luminary musicians such as Larry Coryell, Daevid Allen and John Cage, to name but a few. In 1982, Bibiloni set up his own label Blau in order to highlight the much-overlooked work of musicians not only on his home island of Mallorca but across the Balearic Islands. In doing so he created a platform not only for local talent but also for his own music to breathe a new life, much influenced by the landscape and life that surrounds the islands. While Bibilonis first solo releases on his Blau imprint have stronger echoes of the contemporary jazz fusion of the time, it is on the album known as Una Vida Llarga I Tranquila where Bibiloni really began to experiment with new sounds and technologies; fusing tape loops, drum computers and synthesizers. Taking these more electronic-infused works as a departure point for the compilation and drawing on material from across his following five albums, El Sur sets out to highlight Joan Bibilonis unique ambient fusion and sun-drenched Adriatic beach-boogie." - Music From Memory.

Artist: CALIBAN
Title: Digital Reggae
Format: 12"
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $21.00
"Outstanding three track EP from the archives of Caliban (side project of London musician Milton Myrie). Caliban produced only one self-released 7" Digital Reggae/Open Mind in 1984. UK producer Jackson Bailey(Tapes) managed to track Milton down, to find he was in possession of most of the stock of the original record and was sitting on amazing, unreleased recordings. This EP introduces one of the unreleased tracks: the feel good disco anthem "Supernatural". The computerized dancehall/funk hybrid "Digital Reggae" is also featured. Also includes a new dub put together by Milton himself, assisted by riddim specialist Tapes." - Music From Memory.

Artist: CHERRY, NAPOLEON
Title: Walk Alone
Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $20.00
"The subject of Music From Memorys fifth compilation is the elusive and mysterious Philadelphian musician Napoleon Cherry (aka Cool Waters). Oddball funk biz! In the late 80s and early 90s Cherry privately released two LPs and an EP, which form the basis of this retrospective, alongside a previously unreleased cut, "When You Had the Chance," which was released as a 12" in 2015 by US label Peoples Potential Unlimited. Recorded with a very DIY aesthetic and a strong presence of gospel and RnB, Cherrys unique take on soul and funk music reflects a rawness that stands in contrast to the slick, over-produced soul of that era. With appearances by jazz musicians including the late celebrated saxophonist Byard Lancaster, who coincidentally also played with MFMs previous compilation subject Vito Ricci (MFM 005LP), Cherrys music seems to defy any clear categorization. From cocktail jazz funk to intergalactic synth workouts to melancholy bedroom soul, his use of synths and drum computers, though perhaps unknowingly, also seems to strongly echo elements of early house music." - Music From Memory.

Artist: DUB OVEN
Title: Skin N Bones
Format: 12"
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $20.00
"Music From Memory present a reissue of Dub Ovens self-released, 1983 EP Skin N Bones. Pioneers in the post punk industrial and new wave scene in 80s San Francisco, Gary Miles (Voice Farm) and Blaise Smith(Minimal Man), met in December of 1982, and enlisted soul vocalist Celeste Miller for this EP. All three tracks embody a signature groove and an inventive synthesized abstraction to express a languishing urban unsettledness and spiritual awareness. Utilizing analog electronics and instrumentation, the record draws on elements of dub, new wave, soul, and funk to create an uncategorizable sound. Produced by Marco Perry(Björk)." - Music From Memory.

Artist: GARRETT
Title: Private Life
Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $24.00
"Garrett came from the inside of his own mind, from within a home recording studio somewhere on planet Earth. The Private Life of creative awareness and the music captured here is the visceral offering to all outside. Every one of us has a Private Life. This is Garretts." - Music From Memory.

Artist: GAUSSIAN CURVE
Title: Clouds
Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $22.00
"Music from Memorys fourth release sees the Amsterdam-based label taking an exciting sidestep with the release of Clouds. Its the debut album from Gaussian Curve, a collaboration between Italian ambient pioneer Gigi Masin, Land of Lights Jonny Nash, and Marco Sterk (also known as Young Marco). The trio came together during a weekend-long recording session in April, 2014, with no preconceived ideas. Developed around improvised jams, the eight tracks on the album are all single-take live recordings. The three musicians succeed in developing a musical language all of their own, with Gigi Masin on Rhodes and piano; Jonny Nash on guitar, melodica, synths, and trumpet; and Marco Sterk on synths, rhythmic structures, and production duties. Recorded in the heart of Amsterdams red-light district, the album reflects the unusually warm spring and the buzz from the open windows that filled the derelict downtown studio space during that particular weekend. And on the more introverted late-night compositions, the music quietly soars, reflecting the brooding melancholy of an evening in that particular part of the city. Clouds is a simple, heartfelt record of an inspired meeting of unique souls in unique surroundings." - Music From Memory.

Title: The Distance
Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $25.00
"In the spring of 2016, Gigi Masin, Jonny Nash, and Marco Sterk got together in the studio for the first time since they recorded Clouds (MFM 004LP, 2014), the critically acclaimed debut album from their Gaussian Curve project. By the time they reconvened in Sterks new studio in Amsterdam, a stones throw away from the temporary, second-floor space where they recorded Clouds, much had changed. When they first got together in March 2014, it was for a spontaneous, weekend-long exploration of shared musical passions. They were merely three new friends expressing themselves, and having fun in the process. By the time they got together again last year, the album they recorded on that famous weekend had taken on a life of its own. To their surprise and delight, Clouds had become one of the most admired ambient albums of the 21st century. Theyd initially reconvened in the studio to rehearse for their first live performances. It soon became clear that all three members were brimming with ideas for new Gaussian Curve material. Over the four days that followed, and fueled by the same spontaneous working method that drove Clouds, a new album began to take shape. Although their methodology remained the same, the inspirations were different. Whereas Clouds was intimate by design, The Distance reflects more on spaciousness, distance, and time. It is instantly recognizable as a Gaussian Curve record, but feels different in scope and tone. The Distance is a different musical beast to its predecessor, but shares the same timeless, emotion‐rich feel that made Clouds such a hit. Still, the fundamental ingredients remain the same: Masins masterly piano and synthesizer work, Nashs blissful, meandering guitar, and Sterks synths, drum machines, and production. The Distance is an album brimming with fresh ideas, and more complex musical arrangements. Its the sound of three confident collaborators crafting magical musical moments in their own unique way. This expansive new approach can be heard on "T.O.R.", where Nashs haunting trumpet and hazy guitars wrap themselves around the kind of hypnotic piano and synth patterns that were once the preserve of American minimalist composers, in the gently breezy positivity of "Four For You", and in the loved-up chord progressions and bubbly electronic beats of "Breathe". Close your eyes, and youll also hear it amongst the sunrise shuffle of "The Distance", Masins hushed vocals on "Another Place", and within the kosmische-influenced sensuality of "Ceremony"." - Music From Memory.

Artist: GRAHAM, JOEL
Title: Geomancy/Night
Format: 12"
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $18.00
2015 release. "An obscure tape release discovery by Red Light Radio founder Orpheu de Jong, this 12" highlights the work of electronic music pioneer Joel Graham, a San Francisco based artist who self-released two cassettes in 1984/85. Originally recorded and performed live on pre-MIDI analog equipment in 1982 as an outline for a live performance, these tracks provoke much of the same sensibilities found in contemporary dance music as well as works of vanguard artists of the time. Slowly unravelling and deeply hypnotic, Joel Grahams music can be seen as a forerunner of what was to come in electronic music." - Music From Memory.

Artist: LANDERS, GEOFFREY
Title: 1 By 1
Format: Double LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $31.00
"Music From Memorys final compilation of 2017 sees the release of the double album 1 By 1, which brings together the works of American experimental musician Geoffrey Landers. During a period spanning from 1979 to 1987, this Denver, Colorado based multi-instrumentalist, composer, record producer, and engineer conceived several solo albums. Only two of these, The Ever Decimal Pulse(1982) and Habitual Features (1983) along with the single Breedlove (1984) were ever released on vinyl. Being heavily involved in the local industrial/punk/new wave scene and wanting to create a recording studio "available to record artists regardless of their financial circumstances" Landers set up The Packing House Studio in 1981. This analog 8-track recording facility was located in a former slaughterhouse in the stockyards of Denver and was a place of significant activity for the next three years with the studio releasing recordings from numerous artists, most notably Allen Ginsberg. It was here that Geoffrey Landers also started his own aptly named Cauhaus label. Indicative of the underground/DIY culture, "Cauhaus" was a subsidiary of a label called Local Anaesthetics which was started as an in-store label by independent Denver record store Wax Trax. Typically Cauhaus releases were only pressed up in small quantities and independently distributed, making Landers music essentially elusive to a wide audience. After relocating in 1984 to an art district of Denver Landers opened the "Cauhaus Institute of Recording" studio where he continued to produce music for soundtracks, art, and multi-media projects for the next three years, after which Landers stepped out of the music industry entirely. He currently creates and exhibits mixed-media glass art. Throughout the twenty tracks of 1 By 1, of which six previously appeared on CD only, Music From Memory are submerged into a wide diversity of musical approaches from Geoffrey Landers. From the proto-house track "Logarithms" and the heart breaking new-wave boogie/funk of "Say Youll Say So", to the more contemplative pieces such as the oriental-inspired "Nisei" and the drenched in sunshine dub/reggae track "Mack", Landers shies away from musical expectations again and again; searching continually for innovative and new forms of expression." - Music From Memory.

Artist: LOWMAN, LEON

Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $20.00
2016 repress. "Following on from co-compiling one of 2012s best-received compilations Into the Light: A Journey into Greek Electronic Music, new Amsterdam-based record label Music From Memory sets sail with a compilation of lo-fi beach funk and lazy synth jams from the Rhode Island keyboardist and ocean-loving Leon Lowman. As well as a devoted painter and East Coast surfer, the synthesizer-loving Lowman privately released two albums Syntheseas (1980) and its follow-up cassette-only Sound Horizon (1982). Something of a homage to his love of the local seashore and the women he was trying to woo there, the albums also express Leons pure love of the sound of the synthesizer and reflect his unique melodic wanderings. With Leons albums meeting little commercial success at the time of their release, both albums have in recent years become highly sought-after. Along with previously-unreleased material from the time, Liquid Diamonds highlights Leon Lowmans unique blend of lo-fi synth-funk and surf ambience." - Music From Memory.

Title: Talk To The Sea
Format: Double LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $32.00
2017 repress. "The highly-anticipated second release from the Music From Memory label takes you into the world of Italian musician Gigi Masin. Part of only a small and very much underground music scene in his hometown of Venice, Gigi Masin self-released two modestly pressed LPs, Wind (1986) and Wind Collector (1991), and appeared alongside Charles Hayward for the Sub Rosa compilation LP Les Nouvelles Musiques De Chambre Volume 2 (1988). Having met with little commercial success in Italy at the time, Gigi Masins solo albums remained for the most part totally unknown. His music has though in recent years, and seemingly by pure word of mouth, developed almost something of a cult following. Gigi Masins uniquely intricate and at times deeply emotive compositions take the listener into a realm of contemplation, a spellbound mind state where time and space appear to dissolve. His sparse and hypnotic often loop-based compositions seem to draw parallels with Detroit technos earliest beginnings, all at once conjuring those same feelings of both melancholic longing and ecstatic joy. With access to Masins large body of work, far greater than that of the handful of released recordings, Music From Memorys new compilation covers a period of over 30 years, from the mid-1980s up until recent works. Including 17 compositions, most of which have remained unreleased or unavailable until now, Talk to the Sea aims to shine a light on Gigi Masins unique and heartfelt talent. This is electronic music from the soul." - Music From Memory.

Title: Criola Remixed
Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $22.00
"Music From Memorys curious and utterly killer Afro/Belgian electronic project gets the re-whip by a bunch of current producers. As well as the tracks featured on Criola compilation of works by Denis Mpunga and Paul K. (MFM 019LP, 2017), the label also received some great short sketches. Lasting mostly less than a minute and some even just a few seconds, there was some great ideas but the "tracks" seemed just too short to include on the compilation. Music From Memory shared these sketches with some of their friends and favorite producers, along with the tracks included on Criola with the idea of creating a series of remixes or to use these sketches as samples. Criola Remixed also includes the previously unreleased "Veronika V02", a synth bass heavy version of the compilation track "Veronika". Remixes/reworks by Prins Emanuel, Dazion, Androo, Tolouse Low Trax, and Interstellar Funk." - Music From Memory.

Title: Criola
Format: LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $21.00
"An mini LP of works by Denis Mpunga and Paul K., all recorded between 1980-1984. Combining elements of traditional African music with experimental electronics, the Belgian/Congolese duo released only a handful of tracks, scattered across a few rare LP and cassette compilations that were put out in the mid-eighties by obscure European labels. This release also includes a few previously unreleased songs that were found on the original master tapes. Relocating with his family from the Congo to Belgium in 1973 at the young age of 13, Denis Mpunga grew up in Liege and quickly became deeply embedded in its musical scene, forming the group Gomma Percussions in 1979; a percussive group driven by West African influences. A side project Eko-Kuango formed by the Gomma Percussion members also saw the release in 1985 of the now much sought after 12" Fura (1986), which also includes Denis Mpunga on vocals. Denis has continued to produce and compose music, perhaps most notably writing the soundtrack for the Dardenne brotherss La Promesse (1996). Patrick Stas, who would release with Denis under the "Paul K." moniker, was a well-known local musician in Liege and considered something of a luminary figure in the electronic and experimental music scene in Belgium. Patrick would set up the independent cassette and vinyl label Home Produkt. Both well-known figures in Lieges music scene, the two of them would join forces in 1980 to work together on a soundtrack for a childrens animation company called CAMERA etc, recording the Intermezzo tracks which are included here. Keen to experiment further as a duo, Denis would propose the idea of combining some more traditional songs or percussive African elements with Patricks experiments with drum computers and synthesizers. Working around more conventional instruments such as guitar and bass, Denis would also bring balafons, senzas, and a zither to their recordings whilst Patrick would work with an array of synthesizers and drum machines, such as the Roland MC 202, TB 303, and TR 808, and the Korg MS20 and Monopoly. The recordings set out to play with and challenge preconceptions and expectations of African music and African culture. Together, Denis Mpunga and Paul K.s, if somewhat brief, musical adventure would create a fascinating new musical language: African music born out of an industrial European landscape. 180 gram vinyl." - Music From Memory.

Artist: MUSCI, ROBERTO
Title: Tower Of Silence
Format: Double LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $31.00
"Music From Memory present Tower Of Silence from Roberto Musci. Traveling extensively across Asia and Africa between 1974 and 1985 to study music, Roberto made many field recordings and collected many instruments on his travels which he would then combine with synthesizers and electronics back in Italy." - Music From Memory.

Artist: RICCI, VITO
Title: I Was Crossing A Bridge
Format: Double LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: France
Price: $30.00
"On the leading edge of NYCs underground music scene, Vito Ricci produced only a handful of self-released cassettes and one LP between 1983 and 1985, with most of his work recorded for experimental theater and performance art pieces. Taking their label name from Riccis only LP, Music From Memory brings together a compilation of works by one of the unsung heroes of New Yorks downtown music scene. Starting out as a percussionist, Riccis early musical journey led him to improvised and experimental jazz; working alongside such luminary musicians as Rashied Ali, Byard Lancaster, Peter Zummo, and Yousef Yancey. He quickly became involved in the avant-garde scene with spoken word performances, film scores for independent movies, and even performances with punk bands at venues such as CBGBs and the Mudd Club, and his compositions drew on all of these influences while channeling them through his experiments with synthesizers and drum computers. Drawing comparisons with New Yorks downtown no-wave scene, Vitos compositions blend his unique use of intricate percussion with a wide sphere of musical influences to create a world of hypnotizing ambient, meditative minimal-synth, dubbed-out electronic funk, and even left-field boogie. With most of Vito Riccis music remaining previously unreleased, the compilation I Was Crossing A Bridge unveils Riccis unique and visionary take on electronic music." - Music From Memory.

Title: Odisea
Format: Double CD
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $20.00
"Odisea is a retrospective showcase of solo work from Spanish electronic music pioneer Suso Sáiz. Having been at the forefront of Spains experimental music scene since the late 1970s, multi-instrumentalist Suso Sáiz formed the pivotal group Orquesta de las Nubes and studio project Música Esporádica, releasing a string of albums on Madrids now cult label Grabaciones Accidentales, which was also home to groups such as Finis Africae, Mecánica Popular, and Ishinohana. A prolific producer, he has recorded with Spains most singular popular musicians as well as with a number of luminary electronic and world music artists such as Steve Roach, Jorge Reyes, and Salif Keita. Odisea draws material from Susos early solo works, including music from the rare cassette-only Confidencias as well as pieces from his more recent compositions, soundtrack works and previously unreleased tracks. An artist dedicated to experimentation, Susos sparse compositions manifest a solitary and stripped back approach to making music. Fascinated by the possibilities of new technology he experimented with guitar loops, synthesizers, and drum computers creating a unique form of musical hypnotism absorbed by avant-garde/minimalist and non-Western musical influences. The most representative figure of Spains now cult experimental scene, Suso Sáiz remains an exploratory musician in a musical universe that knows no boundaries." - Music From Memory.

Title: Rainworks
Format: Double LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $29.00
Music From Memory mark their 20th release with an album of new works by the Spanish electronic music pioneer. Recorded in Madrid between January and February 2016, this is Suso Saizs first release of new music in nearly ten years. Titled Rainworks, this double LP release was originally part of a commission from a Canary Islands water company. The first ideas for the compositions developed from a documentary that Suso had seen suggesting the possibility of water molecules having their own memory. As Suso himself explains, he became fascinated with the possibility of an eternal being, changing its cyclical condition from solid to gaseous state, travelling through and between the Earth and the Sky, as a witness and keeper of the true history of Earth and Mankind. Suso, his son Emil Saiz, and pianist Raph Killhertz set out to explore this metaphysical process of cyclical movement through music in Rainworks. Developing from the original commissioned tracks into a much more elaborate project, the albums process became something of a mystical journey, drawing on aspects of minimalism and modernism. The music is also embedded in textured natural soundscapes and spoken word passages which were recorded and processed by Suso himself. Despite having the immediacy of an improvised piece, Rainworks was in entirely composed by Suso. Whilst on one hand it appears very much as an electronic album there are in fact many acoustic elements to the recording. A resonant piano (a grand piano re-amplified using its resonant box and harp to generate effects) as well as guitars (with simple effects) are played in Susos inimitable hypnotic way, slowly drawing the listener into a transportive state or lucid dream." - Music From Memory.

Price: $20.00
"Music From Memory present a 12" of the little known UK band The System, a project masterminded by Bob Lamb (producer of Duran Duran, UB40). In Bob Lambs studio, the four members of The System set out to make a pop record very much driven by the new possibilities of technology and developments within studio recording. With instrumental tracks "Vampirella", sounding almost prophetic of Detroit techno tracks and "Pendy! Youre In Some Awful Danger" a vaporous synth excursion and anthemic drum-heavy vocal track "Almost Grown", this 12" also features the unreleased "Find It In Your Eyes"." - Music From Memory.

"Two deeply forward-thinking electronic tracks from British musicianMichal Turtle. "Are You Psychic?" is taken from Turtles obscure Music from the Living Room album (1983), a work created with live instrumentation that manages to sound sample-based, with voices and sound effects recorded directly to tape or put onto tiny 2.5-second cassette loops. The previously unreleased "Astral Decoy" (1984) reflects a growing interest in more analog elements such as xylophone and live percussion, as well as electro and boogie. This 12" precedes Music From Memorys wider compilation of Turtles works, produced with access to the archives of the many recordings made at his family home." - Music From Memory.

Price: $31.00
"Following their release of the Michal Turtle 12" Are You Psychic?/Astral Decoy (MFM 008EP, 2015), Music From Memory present Phantoms Of Dreamland; a compilation of works by the UK musician recorded between 1983-1985. This double LP features tracks drawn from the recording sessions for Turtles album Music From The Living Room (1983) and also collects material Turtle recorded shortly after that, for an album which would never materialize. With three tracks taken from Music From The Living Room and the rest of the compilation entirely made up of unreleased tracks, Phantoms Of Dreamland draws on an illustrious period for Michal. In 1982, at the age of only 22, Michal Turtle set up a portable four track studio in his familys South London home, over-running his parents front room with synthesizers, amps and instruments. Here he would create layered and deeply hypnotic tracks that were often built around live jams with musicians he would invite to his home. Although the music can appear to be sample based, all instruments were played live and any voices or sound effects were recorded directly to tape or from tiny cassette loops. Combining electronics with live percussion throughout, Phantoms Of Dreamland reflects a deep sense of musical exploration and creates a uniquely other-worldly musical language of its own." - Music From Memory.

Title: Outro Tempo: Electronic And Contemporary Music From Brazil, 1978-1992
Format: Double LP
Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $33.00
"For their first multi-artist compilation, Music From Memory take a trip to the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Outro Tempo: Electronic And Contemporary Music From Brazil, 1978-1992 is a double LP that explores the outer reaches of Brazilian music, where indigenous rhythms mix with synthesizers and where MPB mingles with drum computers. As Brazil faced the last years of its military dictatorship and transition to democracy, a generation of forward-thinking musicians developed an alternative vision of Brazilian music and culture. They embraced traditionally shunned electronic production methods and infused their music with elements of ambient, jazz-fusion, and minimalism. At the same time they referenced the musical forms and spirituality of indigenous tribes from the Amazon. The music they produced was a complex and mesmerizing tapestry that vividly evoked Brazilian landscapes and simultaneously reached out to the world beyond its borders. The product of extensive research, this compilation is a unique introduction to this visionary music and features many fresh discoveries in a country well-trodden by record diggers. It gathers tracks from obscure albums that have for too long been neglected by even the most avid collectors of Brazilian music. It includes now highly sought after music by Andréa Daltro, Maria Rita, and Fernando Falcão, as well as unknown gems like those of Cinema, Carlinhos Santos, and Anno Luz. This is an essential release that reveals a broader spectrum of Brazilian music, striking a unique sonic signature that is full of innovation, experimentation, and beauty. Compiled by John Gómez and featuring extensive liner notes, Outro Tempo showcases this overlooked corner in Brazils rich music history for the first time. Also features: Piry Reis, Nando Carneiro, Os Mulheres Negras, Bené Fonteles, Priscilla Ermel, Carioca, Marco Bosco, and Luhli E Lucina." - Music From Memory.

Label: Music From Memory
Country: Netherlands
Price: $21.00
"Music From Memory return with four tracks drawn from the St. Louis musician Virgil "Vincent" Work Jr.s cassette debut from 1987, Fast Forward. Following a compilation taken from one of Virgils collaborative projects, Workdub (MFM 012EP, 2016), this album reflects a more stripped back and raw musical approach. Experimenting with rhythm programming, midi, layering, sequencing, digital effects, and sound synthesis, the Fast Forward sessions grew from a series of late night jams with Vincents brother Scott. "Music From Memory present a 12" of four tracks from Workdubs elusive privately released albums. Virgil Work Jr and Nicholas Georgieff developed Workdub through weekly improvised jam sessions. Georgieff experimented with rhythm programming, midi, digital effects and sound synthesis whilst Virgil would create intricate rhythm patterns for each song, playing various drum, percussion and synthesizer parts by hand. Together the pair combined ambient music with driving percussive rhythms and melody creating a very ethereal dubbed out instrumental sound which moves between funk, new wave and industrial music. Influenced by: Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wally Badarou, Kraftwerk and Larry Heard." - Music From Memory.
