Artist: IDEA FIRE COMPANY
Title: Days
Format: 7"
Label: Plinkity Plonk
Country: Netherlands
Price: $11.00
"A new IFCO single. This one went through the tortures of the damned, but here it finally is. The First Days is a different and more sprightly version of Romance from Impossible Salon. The Last Days was originally going to be on The Island Of Taste. I always thought it would make a great B side to a single and now I am vindicated.. Happy and sad. Just like life." - Swill Radio.

Artist: MIRROR
Title: Viking Burial for a French Car
Format: CD
Label: Plinkity Plonk
Country: Netherlands
Price: $18.50
"Through the past few years Mirror have gained a wide reputation for some of the most beautiful unearthly drone music. Mirror is usually regarded as a duo of Christoph Heeman and Andrew Chalk. Their Viking Burial for a French Car consists, partly, of a recording made by Mirror in Dundee, Scotland in October 2003, where Mirror was extended with David Keenan (author of Englands Hidden Reverse), Gavin Laird and Alex Neilson. The concert was an accompaniment to the film Haxan, about witchcraft through the ages. In an epic thirty-seven minutes, Mirror extends beyond the drone music and comes up with an orchestral piece, in an almost Xenakis style: building a large crescendo and in the middle an explosion Afterwards the piece slowly follows its course in descrescendo. A surprising piece for Mirror, that would not have worked on a LP release. Its length requires an uninterrupted listening. Viking Burial for a French Car is one of the rarer CD releases by Mirror, who usually release their work on LP, and will surely appeal to those with a limited music budget. Packed in the usual Plinkity Plonk sleeve." - Plinkity Plonk.

Title: Loop End
Format: LP
Label: Plinkity Plonk
Country: Netherlands
Price: $16.00
"Martin Luiten and Frans de Waard are both from Nijmegen and both part of the same musical scene - if there is such a thing. They played together in 2003 when their bands Girlfriends and Beequeen played a collaborative concert, and the two met on the sunday afternoon improvisation concerts. Yet its not been until this year that they decided to work together, Martin on guitar and electronics and Frans picking the sound up with his laptop. Extremely fruitful sessions were held, and resulted in one LP to be released soon by Important Records and this LP, released by Plinkity Plonk. Five pieces of repeating guitars, swirling electronics and the finest drones. Laptop blues? Call it what you like. Sit back and relax." -Plinkity Plonk

Artist: TATE, DARREN & PAUL BRADLEY
Title: Sometime Today
Format: CD
Label: Plinkity Plonk
Country: Netherlands
Price: $18.50
"A collaboration between Darren Tate and Paul Bradley. In his own unique and intimate way, Darren recorded the basic tracks at his home in York. Including guitar, keyboard and various other techniques, these recordings were passed onto Paul who took them with him, along with a laptop, on a recent visit to Turkey. These original tracks were supplemented with various field recordings taken around the town of Fethiye and the piece assembled during this three-week visit. Voyeuristic, evocative, abstract and delicate, you are invited to spend some time in their sonic world. Darren Tate made his name in the group Ora, a floating collective that included Colin Potter, Andrew Chalk and Jonathan Coleclough. Paul Bradley started out with his first commercial release on ICR and this friendship and partnership has continued over two collaborative CDs with Colin Potter." - Plinkity Plonk.
