Artist: CHARLIE UNGRY
Title: The Chester Road Album
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $20.00
"You might think a combination of British heavy metal and something approaching powerpop is just a bit unlikely, but then there are these tracks, recorded in London, live in the studio in one day, during the summer 1977. A year later the band released a single from those tapes ("The House on Chester Road") that made it to #17 on the UK Independent Charts. They seem to have had no other releases, but continued to play in one configuration or another until splitting in the early 80s. Good looking 2-color jacket art with band photos and brief liner notes by their songwriter/bassist. Limited pressing." - Rave Up.

Artist: DEAD NITTELS
Title: Early Songs 1981-1983
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $19.00
"Formed in 1980, in order to show them all! The Schaeffer brothers Josef (bass ) and Manfred (drums) brought Herbert "Lörkas" Langer (guitar) on board, who had recently quit the Punk combo Pöbel. With singer Hannes the first line-up was complete. After the HEINZ NITTEL assassination (city councilor of the social democratic party in Austria who was murdered by palestine group ABU NIDAL on the first of may on his way to town hall) the band name was an obvious choice - DEAD NITTELS (following our musical heroes the DEAD KENNEDYS). The space in the Wiener Gassergasse (referred to as GAGA) offered by the autonomous youth centre was used as a rehearsal room. GAGA soon would become the nucleus of [close] viennes punk. A lot of legendary DEAD NITTELS concerts took place in that time. Their first concert however was a gig as a supporting act for the female punk band A-Gen53. after several reshuffles considering the position of the singer, Christian Koczera, nicknamed Hulk, took over. With him a second guitarist in the person of Michael Neumann, joined the band. In this line-up the DEAD NITTELS recorded the so- called green Kassette AntiNewWaveLiga. CRUDE AND STRONG EURO PUNK!!!" -Rave Up.

Artist: ED DAVIS BAND
Title: Keith Richards Dead
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $18.00
"Heres a collection of archival material from this mid-to-late-70s Cincinnati proto-punk band, with influences from MX-80 SOUND, THE RAMONES and PATTI SMITH, who played around town (largely at loft parties) between 1976 and 1979.  They did manage to release one 7" in 1978 that got some airplay on local radio, though apparently there were no other releases. There was also nobody named Ed Davis in the band, so there. This LP collects those 7" tracks as well as material from a radio broadcast, demos and a live track.  Cover art includes photos, liner notes and a band bio." -Rave Up. Cool Unnatural Axe-meets-Vertical Slit 70s beard punk - the single, while a winner, is one of the less appealing things on here. Highly recommended!

Artist: GROUND ZERO
Title: s/t
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $20.00
"Bringing to light a little-known but very creative corner of 70s avant-art-punk, this reissues all 8 very cool tracks from the 1979 "Ground Zero" 7" and the 1980 "Born to be Bombed" 7", the only releases by this Boston art/performance collective. Mixing quite good musicianship and songwriting, they augmented live performances with Dada-esque video collages run on multiple on-stage screens at totally underground DIY gigs in their own loft space. The packaging, including both jacket art and a full-sized, 2-sided, 4-color glossy insert, are full of the bands dada-industrial artwork, including a bunch of gig poster reproductions. Limited pressing." - Rave Up.

Artist: HARLOW & THE CUTTHROATS, GINA
Title: Live at Maxs Kansas City
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $20.00
"A reissue of the 1978 LP by this wild and raw New York City punk-wave-glam outfit fronted by exotic dancer-turned-singer/bassist Gina Harlow, this documents what was apparently only the bands 4th actual gig, playing high-energy 70s-style primitive punk with lots of social, political and religious satire. The trio gigged around town at all the ususal punk venues (CBGBs, Mudd Club, Hurrahs, Trax, and of course Maxs) until Gina left in 1980. Very good sound quality, black & white artwork with lots of photos of Gina (of course) plus a bunch of liner notes. Limited pressing." - Rave Up.

Artist: LUKE MUCUS & THE PHLEGM
Title: s/t
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $20.00
"This collects 1978-80 recordings by a teenage Detroit punk band who took influences from the rants of THE SEX PISTOLS, the hard rock swagger of THE STOOGES, the primal buzzsaw punk of THE RAMONES, the showmanship of ALICE COOPER, and topping it off with FRANK ZAPPA-style satire to create their own sort of suburban Midwest stoner-kid noise, apparently either entrancing or completely pissing off their audiences at the time. 12 well-recorded studio tracks, packed in a 4-color jacket." - Rave Up.

Artist: LUKE WARM
Title: s/t
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $20.00
"This was the 1980 reincarnation of the punky and primitive LUKE MUCUS & THE PHLEGM as a more audience-friendly new wave/powerpop group. It seems they had only one release, the 1980 "Jesus Chrysler/Why Dont You Like Me" 7" on their own label, which got them some notoriety, radio play and reviews. This LP collects those two tracks along with 8 more previously unreleased studio tracks from 1980-81, all very well produced and packed in a nice 2-color jacket." - Rave Up.

Artist: MACKENZIE, GREGOR AND THE MISANTHROPES
Title: Torture That Girl

Price: $16.00
"The definitive anthology of this very unconventional Minnesota band (sometimes compared to FRANK ZAPPA, THE RESIDENTS, or THE GIZMOS), this includes all the tracks from their four rare singles on the cult label Breaker Records between 1978-81, some of which have appeared on various "Killed by Death" and "Hyped by Death" volumes in recent years, plus many previously unreleased studio tracks, 24 songs in all. With good artwork, plus liner notes and band history by Gregor."-Rave Up

Artist: MOUTH TO MOUTH
Title: Gallery of Dolls
Format: 7"
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $7.00
"London-based punk band ft. Guy Greenhough and Jeff Jansen (both ex- VACANTS) plus Aussies Robert Crusti (guitar) and Andy Wright (farfisa) with sole (and sleeveless) single which was recorded at Grannys Studio in South London and mastered at RCA. Guy Greenhough in his own words: cant remember the drummers name, we had a spinal tap type thing with VACANTS as well. There was another song recorded at the session called Cruisin Soho which is more like an extended jam. 200 copies of Gallery Of Dolls / Life In The Subterrain were made and exclusively sold via Geoff Travis Rough Trade shop; comes with blank white, but rubber-stamped labels. Eventually the Aussies returned to Australia, Jeff Jansen went incognito and Guy Greenhough resurfaced in GREENHOUSE OF TERROR who released one 12 (Compulsion) on the Racket label in 1985." - Rave Up.

Artist: PLOD, THE
Title: Neo City
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $18.00
"The Mighty Plod" were formed in May 1972 by Colchester Musician Steve Greenfield. The original line-up was Michael Natkansk (drums), Martin Newell (vocals), Carl Symanski (bass), John Fitzsimons (guitar). Their music was based on glam rocks hits of the day such as Slade and Sweet, and a selection of rocknroll standards like Johnny B. Goode and Shakin all over done in a fast thrash style. In 1975 the band recorded five studio tracks including the amazing Neo City. The Mighty Plod turned up again in a feature on lost treasures from the Glam Rock era, the most important bands that got away, in the January 2002 Record Collector." - Rave Up. Artist: SAUCERS/ALLIES
Title: 1978-81: East Bay Punks From The Streets Of Berkeley
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $18.00
"Disillusionment with the "mellow 70s" was turning to rage as the US waged a proxy war in Central America, and San Francisco ignited into fiery riots after the assassination of its mayor and first openly gay city council member. The Saucers reflected these times with caustic humor and impassioned social commentary. In 1980, the band after the departure of first keyboard player, Joey Michaels, renamed themselves The Allies, adding dynamic lead guitarist Craig Magee, formerly with Dyan Diamond (Runaways). With the addition of Magee, the band pivoted from the Saucers Farfisa-dominated garage punk to a more muscular, guitar-driven sound. Local music producer and KALX engineer Terry Hammer worked behind the scenes to get both bands into the studio, with varied results, on display here. He also recorded a number of live shows for the two groups, and its mostly thanks to his efforts that this music survives today. After the definitive split of the band, the drummer Jake Smith went on to join hardcore punk band Crucifix, played in an early version of Faith No More." - Rave Up.

Artist: SPECTACLES, THE
Title: Re-Spectacled
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $18.00
"Previously unreleased studio tracks, recorded in 1980, by this fairly obscure San Francisco new wave/artpop band that might remind you of early DEVO or PERE UBU with its angular, slightly dissonant melodies and tight musicianship.  Front cover art by Winston Smith; back cover includes photos and a band bio." -Rave Up

Artist: STORMTROOPER
Title: Im A Mess
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $18.00
"This British band first formed and disbanded in a fury in 1975, just before the birth of punk, recording a 4-song demo (universally rejected by labels) and playing one live show before calling it quits.  The band reformed 2 years later, and 2 of those demo tracks were released on the Solent label with a total of 3000 pressed.  Tony Parsons, reviewing the record in NME, called it "about as musical as the sound of a commuter being shoved under a tube train at rush hour," and Jon Savage in Sounds had something similar to say about this garagey early mixture of heavy metal, hard rock and hard punk.  More studio recordings were made, though they remained unreleased until now.  Cover art includes photos, band bio and vintage press clips." -Rave Up

Artist: WARM JETS, THE
Title: Wanna Start A War
Format: LP
Label: Rave Up
Country: Italy
Price: $18.00
"Philadelphias punk rock finest band! Started in 1977, the band was really popular at the The Hot Club, one of the main punk venues in USA. They had a punk ethos, but laced with a potent pop mentality and a big sense of pure theatricality that reminded one of suck disparate outfits as Sparks, The Weirdos, Lance Louds Mumps and The Dickies, not to mention The Monkees! Unfortunately the band recorded only one acetate and few studio tracks that you can find in this anthology that contains the best production of their unlucky career!!! Pure US punk genius, grab this!!!" -Rave Up.
