Artist: DIAFRAMMA
Title: Live 1983
Format: LP
Label: Synthetic Shadows
Country: Italy
Price: $19.00
"Diaframma were the best italian post punk band of the early 80s. They came from Florence, the city that was the most important center of new wave music of the period (see bands like Litfiba, Pankow, Neon, Moda, Polyactive, Karnak and many others...). In the wake of the English decadent dark-rock, strongly influenced by Joy Division, in 1982 they recorded their first single, "Pioggia / Illusione Ottica" (Italian Records). The beautiful lyrics of the poet/guitarist Federico Fiumani push the group among the most popular on the italian scene of the time. Followed by the split 7", "Circuito Chiuso" (Free/Industrie Discografiche Lacerba-1982) and the Mlp "Altrove" (Contempo-1983), which confirm the remarkable ability of the quartet (Gianni Cicchi on drums, Leandro Cicchi [close] on bass, Federico Fiumani on guitar and Nicola Vannini on vocals). This album contains two great live set recorded in 1983 never heard before. An amazing picture of the greatest italian post punk band ever!" -Synthetic Shadows.

Title: When Shadows Move
Format: LP
Label: Synthetic Shadows
Country: Italy
Price: $20.00
"Mastered from the original tapes, this is the never-before-released 1983 album by a minimalist electro-wave band from Arizona, combining cold, distantly chanted vocals and Casiotone synths with a bombastic rock rhythm section. Compared in their day to acts as diverse as JOY DIVISION, YOUNG MARBLE GIANTS, WALL OF VOODOO, and SUBURBAN LAWNS, the band didnt actually sound that much like any of them, instead working out their own wistful, spacy sound of toylike keyboards, plus bass, drums and spoken stream-of-consciousness vocals. The two founding members, Timothy Gassen and Debra Dickey, eventually went on to found the very long-running garage-psych band MARSHMALLOW OVERCOAT. This LP collects one track from their 1982 cassette album, all 6 tracks from their 1983 "When Shadows Move" vinyl EP, plus 5 more studio tracks previously unreleased on vinyl. Well designed 2-color jacket art, with extensive band history liner notes by Gassen. Limited pressing of 400 copies." - Synthetic Shadows.

Artist: MORROWYELLOW
Title: My Colours
Format: LP
Label: Synthetic Shadows
Country: Italy
Price: $20.00
"Begun in 1983 and working in avant-garde theater and dance until 1985, when this Italian dark and experimental postpunk-electronica duo expanded into a performing band, they remained very underground with no actual releases at the time that we know of. This LP collects 8 of their best studio tracks from 1985-88, all with fine songwriting, performance and sound. Black & white artwork with some of their typically enigmatic imagery and liner notes (in Italian) plus band photos. Limited pressing." - Synthetic Shadows.
