Artist: BATTIATO, FRANCO
Title: Fetus
Format: CD
Label: Water
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
"Franco Battiato moved into the 1970s on the crest of the progressive rock wave. This 1972 impossibly strange record inhabits that nether world of pop music, electronics, politics and experimental rock. Fetus is an album beyond all definition. Its a masterpiece of daring and wild risks that work every single time. Battiato takes us through eight uniquely super-detailed songs that tug at the heart strings as no other experimental record ever could. New liner notes by Jim ORourke." - Water.

Artist: CLUSTER
Title: 71
Format: CD
Label: Water
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
"First reissue of this one in many years; this is first Cluster (w/ a "C") album (following the 2 Kluster albums: Klopfzeichen & Zwei-Osterei), originally issued by Philips in, yes, 1971. The 2 equally classic albums that would follow this (II & Zuckerzeit) have pretty much always been available, but 71 has mostly languished (although it was reissued at times by Sky). Reissued here w/ original cover art (not the inferior Sky art), nice booklet of photos and new liner notes, no unnecessary bonus junk. Well done. "On the outer edge of German space rock, Cluster 71 stands as a testament to minimalist cosmische music. The three untitled tracks composed and performed by Moebius and Roedelius are exploratory, ever-changing pieces with focuses on guitar distortion and synthesizer wails, though each goes far beyond. This album deserves the many accolades its been given, and holds up as an early landmark in the history of beatless ambience."

Artist: FLIPPER
Title: Album - Generic Flipper
Format: CD
Label: Water
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
"The first record from San Franciscos legendary Flipper, originally released in 1982. Post-hardcore? Post-punk? Art-rock? Despite being a part of SFs punk scene, Flipper were really only punk in spirit, eschewing conventions and making no concessions. Sludgy, distorted, atonal, noise-rock jams that sound as urgent and heavy as they must have 25 years ago. A huge influence on bands such as Nirvana (their current line-up includes Krist Novoselic on bass) and The Melvins. Album - Generic Flipper contains the classics Sex Bomb, and Life." - Water.

Artist: FLIPPER
Title: Gone Fishin
Format: CD
Label: Water
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
"The second and final studio album for the original line-up of SFs Flipper was first released in 1984. Flipper took the punk tag to extremes, as no other band in the world was playing punk this slow, sludgy, dark and disturbed. Featuring the haunting Survivors Of The Plague and the public incrimination of Sacrifice, Gone Fishin is an art-punk classic that holds up alongside their more heralded debut."" - Water.

Title: Public Flipper Limited: Live 1980-1985
Format: Double CD
Label: Water
Country: USA
Price: $19.00
"Public Flipper Limited was originally released in 1986 as a double LP of live material culled from 1980-1985. The sound quality and playing are both a grimy, distorted mess, which suits the band just fine. Always alternating between endearing and abrasive, Flipper left no room for the middle ground of like. The album title is a shot at John Lydon and his alleged plagiarism of Flippers artwork for his own PIL and it proves that Flipper was never opposed to alienating its audience, no matter how sanctified. Harsh, art-rock classics from one of SFs most important post-hippie-era bands. On CD format for the first time ever." - Water.

Artist: FLIPPER
Title: Sex Bomb Baby!
Format: CD
Label: Water
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
"Originally released in 1987, Sex Bomb Baby! is actually a collection of Flipper material dated no later than 1982, comprised of singles, B-sides, and compilation tracks. The single version of Sex Bomb is an all-out classic, a frenetic, yelping punk answer to Louie, Louie and the rest is no slouch either, outrageous, harsh, sludge-punk from San Franciscos finest. On CD format for the first time ever."" - Water.

Artist: WATERS, PATTY
Title: You Thrill Me
Format: CD
Label: Water
Country: USA
Price: $14.50
Subtitled: A Musical Odyssey 1960-1979. "In the mid 1960s vocalist/pianist Patty Waters released a pair of groundbreaking recordings Patty Waters Sings and College Tour for the legendary avant garde/jazz label ESP-DISK. Sadly, since that time, very few recordings have been released by Patty, although she still performs. You Thrill Me is a collection of all previously unreleased recordings spanning a nearly 20 year time period, capturing this unique jazz vocalist at the peak of her powers. Theres several Patty original compositions as well as her own spin on various jazz standards. Among the highlights is a 1964 three song session produced by Tom Wilson (known for his work with Bob Dylan, Velvet Underground). Booklet includes many rare vintage photos, detailed liner notes by Byron Coley and Patty Waters, and an introduction by Masaki Batoh of Japanese band Ghost." - Water.
