Title: Alchemic Universe
Format: LP + CD
Label: Lilith
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $24.00
"2012 release. Like Halleys Comet, after 30+ years spent travelling to other worlds, Braintickets Joel Vandroogenbroek is again lighting up the night sky. The year 2000 marked Braintickets return withAlchemic Universe, their first full-length LP in decades. Fans expecting a replica of Braintickets early seventies sound be warned, Joel has not spent the past thirty years in a bubble, and the band has happily evolved to keep pace with the new millennium, while still managing to keep its kosmiche roots intact. While Joel performs musical duties (keyboards, synth, guitar, flute), a nice surprise isCarol Muriel (fans may remember her from Celestial Ocean) on vocals on several tracks. CD features the full version of "Transformation Of A Stream," as well as the originally intended track order. Last copies..." - Lilith.

Title: Celestial Ocean
Format: LP/CD
Label: Lilith
Country: USA
Price: $28.00
"1973s brilliant Celestial Ocean, by the legendary Swiss krautrock band BRAINTICKET, is a concept album that details an ancient pharoahs journey into the afterlife (substitute the word "journey" for "trip" and youll get what they were driving at). However, Brainticket were not mere products of their time, they explored some truly compelling musical territory and produced a superlative blanket of sound-featuring a pioneering mix of early synthesizers, flute, zither, sitar, and male / female stream-of-consciousness spoken word vocals-that ebbs and flows in the same general cosmos as classic Gong.. This reissue is fully remastered from the original master tapes." -Lilith

Title: Cottonwoodhill
Format: LP + CD
Label: Lilith
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $32.00
"Being as LSD was first developed in a laboratory in Basel, it is perhaps no coincidence that one of the most far out albums of all time was made by this Swiss band (no small feat, given the competition!). Braintickets 1971 debut, Cottonwoodhill, begins normally enough with two fine psychedelic/Krautrock-influenced tracks, but the remainder of the album plays like an acid trip with a soundtrack, dominated by Joel Vandroogenbroecks endless droning organ, a variety of musique concrète-type sound effects and vocalist Dawn Muirs trippy vocals. The album, banned in several countries, even came with this self-imposed warning: After Listening to this Record, your friends may not know you anymore. / Only listen to this once a day, your brain might be destroyed!. Gatefold sleeve." -Lilith

Title: Psychonaut
Format: LP + CD
Label: Lilith
Country: Russian Federation
Price: $29.00
"1972s Psychonaut, by the Swiss-based Brainticket, is early seventies space rock at its finest. While the bands debut album, 1971s Cottonwoodhill, was a heavily acid-laden affair dominated by droning organ, disturbing vocals and a collection of cacophonic sound effects (causing it to carry a warning label and be banned in several countries) for their second effort, band-founder Joël Vandroogenbroeck brought in a completely new line-up and changed the bands sound dramatically. While Psychonaut still takes listeners into the realm of altered consciousness -- making heavy use of a droning Hammond, sitar, tablas, etc.-- this time the vocals are more melodic and the music itself is more song-oriented. This is by far Braintickets most accessible album, and perhaps their most timeless. Fully remastered from the original master tapes!" -Lilith

Title: Cottonwoodhill
Format: CD
Label: Phonag
Country: Switzerland
Price: $20.00
"Reissue of one of the essential early 70s psychedelic freak-out albums, first issued by the Hallelujah label in Switzerland in 1971. Licensed to German Bellaphone soon thereafter, this is generally considered one of the peak Krautrock experiences, despite its Swiss origins. At this point in time, Brainticket were made up of: Joel Vandroogenbroeck (organ, flute), Ron Bryer (guitar), Werni Frohlich (bass), Coismo Lampis (drums), Wolfgang Paap (tabla), Dawn Muir (voice) & Hellmuth Kolbe (potentiometers, generators and soundeffects). This is their first album (sometimes referred to as "self-titled) and is quite different and more radical than anything else in their discography. It features an outlandlish churning groove of a sound (vaguely comparable to Can or Funkadelic at their most tweaked), is  deeply immersed in LSD mythology and is littered with electronic effects and collage-like elements leading towards the covers warning: "Listen to the first recordings of this LSD/Hashish/Fixy/Jointy sound. Take a trip to your inner light.  See the hallucinations of reality rise out of the groove. Youve got your Brainticket now!" " - FE.
