Title: Repetition Reinforcement
Format: 12"
Label: Diagonal
Country: UK
Price: $18.00
"The long-running alias of former Whitehouse agitator Philip Best, and now featuring vocals and music by Sarah Froelich and n0!se pioneer Russell Haswell, Consumer Electronics hold steadfast to an unflinching observation of, and reflection on, contemporary British culture, exemplified in the coarse noise techno rants of Estuary English (DPROM 108LP, 2014). On Repetition Reinforcement Best trades the explicit rage of Estuary English for hushed, under-the-skin implication. "Murder the Masters" cuts right to the bone, (w)rapping a disaffected tirade in deeply unsettling, over-the-shoulder tones, skeletal techno kicks, and clammy atmospheres. On "Alien Existence," Best shares vocals with Froelich in a probing dialectic of sexual politics smeared against sagging kicks and looking-glass synth discord." - Diagonal.

Title: Estuary English
Format: Double 12" + CD
Label: Dirter Promotions
Country: UK
Price: $37.00
"The unlikely trio of aging renegade Philip Best (Whitehouse, Ramleh, Skullflower, etc.), hip U.S. artist Sarah Froelich and producer/guru Russell Haswell are all set to unleash their first recordings, the state-of-the-nation Estuary English from Consumer Electronics. In possibly Dirters most ambitious presentation yet, this release consists of 2x12" singles cut at Alchemy and a CD of the album that has different mastering by the legendary Denis Blackham. Denis is, of course, well-known for adding his touch of genius to the likes of NWW, Whitehouse, C93, etc., etc., not to mention his impressive CV that features Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Hendrix to name but a few. The CD will only be available with the first pressing and will not be issued on its own; both formats need to be heard to be believed. The package is housed in a beautiful gloss laminated gatefold sleeve and the vinyl is pressed on heavy 180 gram black virgin wax." - Dirter Promotions.

Title: Dollhouse Sounds
Format: LP
Label: Harbinger Sound
Country: UK
Price: $26.00
"Punk/electro/techno-noise trio Consumer Electronics return with their studio album Dollhouse Songs, following 2014s acclaimed Estuary English album and 2015s Repetition Reinforcement 12" on Diagonal (DIAG 019EP). Housed in a sleeve featuring stunning cover artwork by Tokyo-based artist Trevor Brown (creator of the iconic cover art for Whitehouses Halogen (DPROM 109LP, 1994) and Quality Time (1995), among others), Dollhouse Songs further chronicles frontman Philip Bests trawl through the seedy thoroughfares of crumbling Tory Britain. "Learn your fucking place," sneers Best, in trademark style, aping the austerity-mongers of Britains right-wing junta. Ably assisted on dark cracked electronics by Sarah Froelich and stunningly produced by noise/beat guru Russell Haswell, this installment in CEs state-of-the-nation polemics features seven studio tracks: "History of Sleepwalking," "Knives Cut," "Condition of a Hole," "Nothing Natural," "The Push," "Colour Climax," and "Murder Your Masters" (which surfaced briefly in 2015 as an ultra-rare tour-only 7" split with Sleaford Mods). CE now features a twin vocal attack from the Best/Froelich husband-and-wife team, with a furious tide of words spat out over a chaotic spew of mangled beats, bracing synths, and state-of-the-art noise generation. This is their most personal and political album yet. Mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy for maximum effect. Includes inner sleeve featuring all the lyrics." - Harbinger Sound.
