"For the first time edited to 300 copies, the album "Première Heure" recorded in 1973 by the former members of RHYTHM CHECKERS. Rock/prog French high performance.

The early 70s marks the return of the mythical garage rock formation of the sixties RHYTHM CHECKERS. At the time, two of the bands original band members Roland Bauer and drummer Danny Gentner played in the URBAN TONON jazz band with ex-LOVES and BLACK & WHITE Jimmy Bock (keyboards) /flute). Roland, Danny and Jimmy decide to reform the RHYTHM CHECKERS with another former member of LOVES, Michaël Czeninga (solo guitar). The air of time is progressive rock in French, the group adapts and under the name of CHECKERS, they record a single, "Its a dream" / "Ouanita" (Schneider 22-133) and participate in the Festival Pop de Strasbourg on 27 May 1972 with AMON DÜÜL and ANGE. To earn a living, the RHYTHM CHECKERS orientate towards a style between pop and variety animating balls. But these talented musicians have other projects, under the initiative of Jimmy who made the conservatory until the age of 16 and who is encouraged by the success of groups like ANGE. They embark on an ambitious project, under the name of Crucifer, to create a symphonic rock work entitled "Première Heure" based on classical music." - Cameleon.
