Title: Fast Moving Cars
Format: 7"
Label: Blackest Ever Black
Country: UK
Price: $12.00
"Fast Moving Cars is the debut solo single from Carla dal Forno (F ingers, Tarcar). Poignant, alluring, happy/sad art-pop?Both a song of devotion and a dream of leaving. Languid, dub-wise, but with a heartbreaking clarity and economy of expression. The arrangement is stark, if not austere: rooted bassline, dry snare, noirish synth-drift and whispers of reverb conspire to open space rather than fill it. Its perfect for Carlas voice, a floating understated alto. "Dont be so daft, do something exciting? ". The lyrics are frank; fluent in the feelings that underpin the beginning, middle and end of a relationship." - Blackest Ever Black.

Title: The Garden
Format: 12"
Label: Blackest Ever Black
Country: UK
Price: $16.00
"Four new, obliquely confessional dispatches from the edge zones of feeling. "You Shouldnt Have To Wait" is an confrontational companion piece, or response, to her own "Fast Moving Cars". Its a forceful, void-chasing drone-rock led by a "Venus In Furs" bassline. "Clusters" is a bright, electronic pop fantasy in the tradition of Stereolab or Saint Etienne. "Make Up Talk" is a tense, awkward unpicking of a dysfunctional relationship. With "The Garden" Dal Forno pays tribute to Einsturzende Neubauten. Emotionally eloquent, "The Garden" is also her most subtly psychedelic production to date." - Blackest Ever Black.
