After the first release of the Rain album Norsk Suite we all know how good this band sounds. Very much like Frank Zappa and The Mothers, Rains complex compositions are based on the skills of modern classic composers such as Varèse and Strawinsky. As a strong influence theyve mentioned Vanilla Fudge. Rain was Carl Jørgen Kiønig on drums, percussuion , Knut Heljar Hagen on organ, synthesizers, and vocals, and Åsmund Feidje on guitar and vocals. This album Make the Day Break was recorded live in a studio in 1974. After Norsk Suite, the music of this album takes you a step further. Four more years developing musical skills, great composition sense, and strong instrumental abilities. The title song of the album is just superb, the whole album simply stunning. We wish we had more recordings of this great band. But that is all there is. A big surprise they have never been released before. We love it and the music scene in Norway can be proud of this recording." - Shadoks.

"Rain, Norways most well kept secret has been betrayed and solved! This great band has only released a very rare 45 EP as a soundtrack for the Norwegian movie Rivalen. Very much like Frank Zappa and The Mothers, Rains complex compositions are based on the skills of modern classic composers such as Varèse and Stravinsky. As a strong influence, theyve mentioned Vanilla Fudge. Ten great tracks with horns and orchestra arrangement, with great fuzz guitar, Hammond organ and amazing vocals. A Norwegian rock band who had the urge to exceed limits, both musically and technically. Rain was Carl Jorgen Kionig (drums), Knut Heljar Hagen (organ, piano, vocals, bass), Asmund Feidje (guitar, violin, vocals, bass). This album was recorded in 1969/1970, and beside their seven original compositions they play mind-blowing versions of A Day In The Life, Strawberry Fields Forever and Isolation. Their very complex and difficult arrangements required a lot of practice to turn their concerts into a total experience with a spectacular psychedelic light-show and experiments with surround sound. What a great album this is! 500 numbered/heavy sleeve/180 gram pressing/printed inner sleeve/insert." -Shadoks
