Title: Halycon Daze, Mystikal Stupors/Krackhausblooze
Format: 7"
Label: Black Velvet Fuckere
Country: USA
Price: $4.50
"Imagine if the Edgar Broughton Band spent their formative years in a crack house on the bayou swamping out the rock in desperate need of a shot of penicillin. Now exit that doorpass and enter again: peak to peak of Mainliner, Psychosexual RnB, Eric Dolphy-Gagaku, William S. Burroughs ghost writing a straight line diatribe for a vertiginous Howlin Wolf and Tony Joe Whites wah bleaching on the beach with a Sassquatch. While Sapats forthcoming LP/CD on Siltbreeze is a bong shot of dusty sunlight vitamin C enveloper rays, this 7" single is a quarantined crater of wasabi soup strainer knock your dick in the dirt dixie raunch. Spins at 33rpm and clocks in at nearly 15 minutes! Members of various Kentucky head units: Valley of Ashes, Virgin Eye Blood Brothers, Phantom Family Halo, Dead Child, Son of Earth and Kark." - Black Velvet Fuckere.

Title: L & N
Format: 7"
Label: Hank The Herald Angel
Country: USA
Price: $6.50
"What we have here is a brand new single from Louisville, Kentuckys long-running underground collective Sapat. “L&N” and “Payne Hollow Stomp” were recorded in 2005 at the same sessions that produced the groups 2007 Siltbreeze Records LP Mortise and Tenon, about which Dusted said: “While blowing all limp pretensions clean out of the water and across several state lines, this octet manages a multi-genre juxtaposition that never once sounds forced.” “L&N” is a slow-burning elegy on the Louisville & Nashville Railroad (1850-1982), a soundtrack for the contemplation of what we can and cant leave behind. “Payne Hollow Stomp” picks up speed and condenses the density of the A side, moving from the rails to an open road or better yet the rolling Ohio River on which sits Payne Hollow, the simple waterfront homestead of Harlan and Anna Hubbard (1900-1988; 1902-1986), two exemplary Ohio Valley post-Thoreau, pre-Back-to-the-Land simple-life seekers. The 7”, catalog number HANK010, is an edition of 300 45rpm records, packaged in clear polypropylene bags with double-side-printed kraft card insert." -Hank the Herald Angel.

Title: Mortise and Tenon
Format: CD
Label: Siltbreeze
Country: USA
Price: $12.50
"Spawned from the formidable Louisville, KY collective known as BLACK VELVET FUCKERE (VALLEY OF THE ASHES, PHANTOM FAMILY HALO, KARK, etc.), SAPAT resides as the centrifugal force in this Midwestern psychedelic madrigal set in the psychosexual backwaters of the mighty Ohio River. For the entirety of the 00 decade, members have kept busy collaborating with and/or massaging the egos of various and sundry avant-pontiffs such as Robert Fripp, Magik Markers, Dead Child (David Pajos metal band) and Eugene Chadbourne-when not honing the orgone energy of Sapat. For this self-titled full-length release, Sapat has opted for a more organic sonic waft. Acoustically packed to the gills, the octet effortlessly strums and blows breezy vibes, emitting kosmisch melodies and Teutonic ambience that channel-Julian Cope-like-past giants such as Limbus 4, Siloah and Lord Krishna Von Goloka (you know, the A-team of Krautrock). Once you launch into the groups spacey and entrancing, yet calming and soothing asteroid belt, you might mistake the Ozarks for the Alps if youre not careful. And who could blame you? Youre way up there and the airs thin; hallucinatings a must." - Siltbreeze.

Title: A Posthuman Guide to the Advent Calendar Origins of the Peep Show
Format: LP
Label: Sophomore Lounge
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
“Deep from the lusty palms of Stonyism: Sapats 2014 follow-up LP to the 2007 Siltbreeze debut. Large-group-ensemble-cast-of-Kentucky-characters come in from the hermetic-rain-field-of-electric-pabulum, rendering extraordinary-renditions into a maximalist-tapestry laced with concentrated forms of seared-synapse acoustic-retrieval alchemy; immediate stimulation that continually reveals myriad fire over repeated listens. This is an album chock full of ideas, and sound worlds that obliterate thought, a genre-melting bastard-child of Deep-Psych, Art-Punk, Stoner-Shred, Mass-Jass, Buddhist-Operatic, Narrative-Noise, Psychic-Coaction. Sapat: a 14 (so far) year running shape shifting collective sharing members of Valley of Ashes, Kark, Softcheque, Tropical Trash, Black Velvet Fuckere, Son of Earth, The Belgian Waffles!, Phantom Family Halo, and about a billion other Louisvillian enclaves.
Shriner orientalist band infiltrates Bavarian street parade singing song about (a lot more than) smoking crack in Iraq. Van Vilets Dog Faced Hermans strap Godzilla to a treadmill. Vanna White lights up a Cuban on the Wheel of Torture, steps out your backdoor, and when you focus, theres the moon, in waning gibbous phase. Brian Jones subs Yoko-geisha for Jagger, meta-morphs corner into Yma Sumac weathering underground in Amon Duul II commune. Hank Williams buttons up a water sweater and a warm narcology, tom-catting an impossible Birthday Party-Morricone in a Swiss-Alpine sanatorium.
Donning an acid sombrero, and an extra buttocks t-shirt, straddling an astral saddle strapped to a nose powered lawnmower on a street named walk, Sapat, Elvis Clitshovel, Blurn Shithead, and Oral Crawldads all aim their Champion Polk Weed Antenna toward the Vertical Ammonia Driveway, and whisper, "The packer you chairman, the brainer you fuck."- Sophomore Lounge.
