"This rare 45s was released in 1973 for the soundtrack of the film Scoop. It is composed of three instrumental tracks, "Scoop", "Spin" & "périf 73", a period of about 6 min per side. Influences are at Pink Floyd, Deep Purple (first time for the organ), without forgetting the psyche and Krautrock, "périf 73" being the best example. The song name is certainly linked to the opening of the Paris ring road opened in 1973. The film tells the story of a journalist (see the movie name) investigating a mad scientist who has found a way to read in the brain .... Over a period of about 50 minutes, it was projected only 2 times in a film club area called DIAF 16 Ranelagh and located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. For music, the film was shown in a cellar of the Champ de Mars 15th where the band improvised front side image .... One may wonder to listen if the guitarist did not continue in music. No further information was sent to me by the films director, who does not remember at all playing on these securities and do not want to be associated with this project. The group name, Sidharta with a single D is followed in brackets "Solenoid" on the cover, in fact the name of the first film, "Scoop" is as follows. Recorded in mono, the original vinyl is very damaged and have not found another copy for a loan, restoration work was needed before the repressing of 500 copies. There may be a very slight hiss at the beginning of the 2 sides." -Cameleon.
