Artist: SPRAY PAINT
Title: Rodeo Songs
Format: LP
Label: S-S
Country: USA
Price: $15.00
"We released SPRAY PAINTs first full length at the beginning of 2013 and it quickly sold sold. Did a repress and it keeps selling. Why? Because not only are these guys a great band, playing an updated mix of Wire/100 Flower/Lake of Dracula/A Frames-style punk/post punk, but they regularly tour (and like to do so). Theyve played SXSW a few times, Cropped Out, Gonerfest, and a couple stages at Fun Fun Fun. They have played live on WFMU and KDVS and get good rotation at college stations across the US. They have an increasing fan base in Europe, Australia and Japan. In 2014, they have their sights set on touring Europe and the West Coast. Their second album Rodeo Songs is even better than their first, so we expect no drop off in response to this Austin trio." -S.S.

Title: S/T
Format: 7"
Label: S-S
Country: USA
Price: $10.00
"One of the things we at S.S. are proud about is releasing the debut 7" of great bands: Nothing People, His Electro Blue Voice, Wounded Lion, XYX, Lenz, etc. We continue this tradition with a three song 7" by A three piece from Austin, Texas composed of two Guitars and a drummer. The band shares members with DIKES OF HOLLAND, EXPENSIVE SHIT, and WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH. The sound reminds me of the Urinals, A Frames, and Icky Boyfriends with the kick of the first Wax Museums 7". Figure that 3.5 decades of DIY/punk references means that SPRAY PAINT have a timeless sound. Sorry the price is a little higher but a small pressing like this will do that. Painted & stamped sleeved. A pressing of 200." -S-S

Title: Spock Fingers
Format: 7"
Label: S-S
Country: USA
Price: $8.00
"Spray painted lines on a piece of cardboard is as simple as "art" can get. But you get to looking at it and you see contrasts, textures, spacing, and other things enhanced by a simple direct approach, things that get lost in a mess of images and muscular "creativity." This is the rule of less is more. Apply it to rock & roll and it is a rule that Austins SPRAY PAINT lives by. Following in the grand tradition of Wire, the Urinals, and the Icky Boyfriends, Spray Paint takes rock & roll and minimizes it to a few ungrandiose riff perfectly placed, catchy and energetic. Spray Paint puts all what is needed into a song and nothing more. It is an approach which made for a great debut single (on S.S. and sold out quickly) and an even better follow up. Spray Paints "Spock Fingers" b/w "Pink Pus" 7" is their second record and is even better than the first. "Spock Fingers" is riled up, punk energy in a wire-frame, wearing a spikey hat. "Pink Pus" is a mid tempo grumbling tumbler. Both songs are excellent and housed in a spray painted and stamped sleeve, in a limited run of 300 and on S.S. Records." -S-S.

Title: Spray Paint
Format: LP
Label: S-S
Country: USA
Price: $16.00
"Debut album from Spray Paint. Eleven songs of killer avant punk aggression that measures up with anything stomping around today. What hit our ears is eleven sonic booms: great songs, ace playing, good ideas, and smart construction. Nothing is too long, nothing too short. Like the best punk rock n roll albums, Spray Paints debut is all meat, no fat, a compact punch with angular power. Limited to 500 copies. Like their two 7" releases, the jackets have been painted on front and stamped on the back -- no two are the same." - S-S.

Title: Cussin
Format: 7"
Label: Upset the Rhythm
Country: UK
Price: $10.00
"Spray Paint are a no wave punk outfit from Austin, Texas made up of Chris Stephenson (drums/vocals), Cory Plump (guitar/vocals) and George Dishner (guitar/vocals). Spray Paints buzz-sawing guitars run headlong through labyrinthine tunnels of reverb, chased down by some wildly brain-bashing drums. All three members of Spray Paint sing, too. "Cussin" plays out with some derailed guitars, working up a tone of paranoia amid the thumping rhythms. "Three Thumbs Up" is a disorientating number with the bands trio of vocals calling out the lyrics like a repetitive mantra. "Ask My Old Roomate, Man" makes room for path-leaping sprees of guitar, offset with stormy blasts of distortion." - Upset the Rhythm.
