""CORAIL is first of all childhood friends living at La Teste de Buch, on the Bassin d'Arcachon, who make music together under the name of SEISM since 1974. They give their first concert in 1975. They play at the Bergerac festival in 1977 with BRACOS BAND, MADRIGAL and TELEPHONE. Then in Toulouse in the room "Le Pied".

They decided to try their luck in Paris in 1977. the band changed its name to CORAIL and then consisted of: Yves Marty (solo guitar, vocals), Laurent Marty (drums, vocals), Pierre Banneau (rhythm guitar, vocals ) and Jean-Marc Levasseur (bass guitar, vocals) After many concerts much appreciated by their fans and the departure of Jean-Marc, they find, not without difficulty, Bordeaux Martial Pain on the bass guitar and Jean-Marc André said "CHINOI" who made with CORAIL his debut as a sound engineer and has subsequently distinguished himself with different groups including: DOGS, THE BOYS BUTTERS, PIGALLE, GREEN NEGRESSES, MANO NEGRA, BLACK DESIR, SPOOK AND THE GAY , EDGARD DE L'EST, THE PATRONS, GUAKA, DATCHA MANDALA and many others as talented still. Anecdote, his nickname "CHINOI" it was given to him by Michel Banneau, a marine blacksmith and father of the guitarist who, seeing Jean-Marc for the first time, who was wearing a small braid falling on the nape tied by a ribbon, asked us: "and that is who he , The Chinese ???". The band nicknamed him from that day, Jean Marc decided to keep this nickname but without the s in the end, so "Chinoi". He died in 2015.

The group leaves on the road in their truck tarpaulin of brand Citroën HY variegated that did not fail to point out, especially by the gendarmes. After several concerts and tours with this new formula, including several times featured in the legendary Golf Drouot (June 13, 1981 for example), CORAIL records a single 2 tracks at Studio Florida in the XIth arrondissement of Paris "Comme Un Surfer" (Chinoi does the chorus on the finale) and "I've lived all that". The photo of the cover is taken from their passage at the LCR festival in Versailles. They will play Rose Candy, Gibus and many other rooms in the suburbs of Paris. The group separated in 1981. Some will continue under the name of TUTTI QUANTI (2 maxi 45t released in 1987).

Following contacts made for the compilation, Yves Marty made me listen to some tracks recorded in 1979. Here are 3 unreleased tracks of this fabulous group, including 1 live, certainly the average sound, but which demonstrates all the power on stage of this combo. The title "J'ai Vécu Tout Ca" is already on the compilation and on their first and only 45rpm record released at the time." - Cameleon.

After nearly a decade of false starts, multiple game plans veering off the rails, and a handful of shattered hopes and/or dreams, the odyssey is finally complete—the new Fusetron site is here.

This is the first phase of a multipart rollout that will span the next few months: the currently browsable stock includes miscellaneous new releases from the past 8+ months (we have a lot of catching up to do), plus approximately a third of our backstock. Note that we’ve reduced/slashed prices on many titles and will continue to do so in order to make room for new stock. We’ll also be expanding / tweaking / improving / debugging the site itself (for example, we still have work to do on the automated international postage system, not to mention the inevitable inventory discrepancies that come with transferring an ancient and massive database to a new system).

Over the next few months, as we take inventory, clean house, and delve into our storage, we will be uploading thousands of additional items, gradually, on a near-daily basis. This will include the majority of the LPs, as well as many titles, in all formats, once thought long-gone. Many currently “sold out” items are likely to resurface.

Finally, once our general backstock is up (probably in the next two or three months) we’ll begin making our extensive stockpile of rarities available online for the first time: tons of random out-of-print titles, "deadstock," warehouse finds, secondhand collectibles, etc., accumulated over the past few decades.

Frequent/returning customers will be getting early access to these items. Details to follow on how this will work (a priority mailing list? a 'frequent flyer'-like program?), but it will not be based on dollars spent. We want to reward those who consistently support us, especially in the discogs marketplace era (to those who show up trying to poach five copies of a one-off rarity, and nothing else, ever… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

So—we suggest you take some time to dig through the site—even we’ve been surprised by what’s been turning up, and there’s much more to come.
