The project has existed for four or five years, but this is their first release with any substantial physical footprint on this corporeal plane.
 Takahashi has a lengthy history in the Japanese rock underground, dating back to his involvement with no-wavers Akebonoizu during the late seventies and early eighties. Since then he has been the drummer of choice for virtually everyone whos anyone on the scene. High Rise, Fushitsusha, Tamio Shiraishi, Kosokuya, Ch_֬_-SHIZU, Maher Shalal Hash Baz, and Nagisa Ni Te amongst others have all benefited from his propulsive, dynamic mastery of space. Solo, duo and more expansive projects under a variety of names including Aura Nihilitica, Lamones Young, and Of Dogstarman have revealed a hitherto unsuspected facility for environment-altering improvised drone and electronic drift. Muronoi too has a long CV of experimental dance work behind her, ranging from solo butoh pieces to multi-media collaborations with visual artists, filmmakers and musicians.
The name Anoyo no dekigoto means something like Happenings in the Other World, an entirely appropriate moniker for the indeterminate, non-linear and metaphysical nature of the communication between Muronoi and Takahashi during their improvised performances. The music is not simply a background score for the dancers movements. Takahashi even shies away from the description of what they do as communication. Rather, he refers to a complex series of negotiations between dancer, musician, environment, and audience that serve to create a sense of enveloping, trembling communal space. On these recordings, Takahashi takes his interest in electronics to another level. On one track he deploys over thirty tiny oscillators to create a constantly moving, deeply immersive field of higher-function insect chatter. Even without Muronois wraith-like physical presence, the music on this album exerts an eerie and oblique dominance over any room in which it is played. It subtly modifies the listeners perception of time and space, leaving behind a tangible and mournful reminder of its presence, like the luminescent tracks of some passing phantom slowly decaying back into incorporeality. -Alan Cummings. Due to his white skin, however, there were few jobs for him in this field in the early sixties, since New York only had two active jazz clubs at that time. Because of this Jones began to study experimental composition under John Cage and Earle Brown in 1960. Through his teachers he got acquainted with Dick Higgins and Alison Knowles. When Higgins and Knowles travelled to Europe in 1962 to participate in several Fluxus Festivals, Jones rent their studios. Here he developed his first music machines, with which he was very successful from the beginning. Since 1963 Jones participated in the Fluxus-movement and took part in a number of performances with his music machines. In 1963 he performed at the Yam festival in New Brunswick for the first time, a year later he performed at the Avantgarde music festival in New York. Many exhibitions and actions in New York and Nice followed until Jones opened his own Music-Store in New York in 1969. In 1972 he produced the album Fly together with John Lennon and Yoko Ono and founded the Fluxus-Airline with George Macunias. At that time he settled down in Europe; he lived in Amsterdam, Asolo (Italy), Berlin and Wiesbaden and exhibited worldwide in galleries and museums. In 1980 Jones was a guest of the DAADs Berlin artist program, before he took up residence in D_ɬºsseldorf and Wiesbaden. Since the mid-eighties Jones produced short films with his computer, the so-called Fluxus-Home-Movies, and he also devised larger orchestra-like installations with his music machines. His busy exhibition schedule remained unchanged: In 1988 his works could be seen at the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, in 1992/93 there was a big touring exhibition with stops in Helsinki, Nuremberg, Rotterdam and Wuppertal. In addition to that his music machines have been represented in the worldwide exhibition Fluxus in Deutschland since 1995, which could be seen in Gera, Budapest, Istanbul, Br_ɬºnn, Copenhagen, Athens, Tel Aviv and Warsaw so far; further stops are planned for Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Africa until 2002. - Ketterkunst. You had to be dedicated or stupid to survive the constant ambushes from local disco boys, bikers and rugby club drunks. Five teenage punks (Topper Toplis, Jer Phelps, Drew Smith, Jon Ralphs, Barry Phillips) united in a love of The Boys, The Ramones, T Rex and 60s girl-groups formed The Blitz Boys. A million miles from the narcissism of the deteriorating London scene the boys drew inspiration more from Northern Ireland - the tunes and escapism of Good Vibrations Records, of Protex, Rudi, The Outcasts and The Undertones.-Ç It was DIY or do-nothing. Gigs were initially few and far between - and what gigs there were often ended abruptly due to fighting amongst, or with, the audiences...or equipment failure. Helped by incendiary Gloucester punks Demob, who gave them support slots, the boys began to pick up more gigs and press. In 1980 The Blitz Boys second studio venture yielded 3 tracks ? live favourites Eddys New Shoes, She Told My Friends She Loved Me (But Shes Too Shy To Talk To Me) and Eddys Friend. Self-funded with the support of their loyal circle of friends and fans, and with outstanding artwork from the Inadequate Youth, the Eddys New Shoes EP was released on the bands own Told You So Records ? a dig at a journalist who predicted theyd never achieve anything. Within a week the title track was getting repeated plays by John Peel who also aired both flip-side tracks. The great man got it, commenting that he loved bands who created their own world. They met with Peel at the BBC and things momentarily looked bright with a second single planned and talk of a Peel session. But it wasnt to be. The band was always destined to burn briefly (and vividly). Eddys New Shoes was a poignant legacy created from the chaos and the total lack of focus which would lead to the bands inevitable evaporation. Barry carried his guitar through various other bands eventually realising his ambition when The Rainsaints signed to Good Vibrations Records.-Ç Meanwhile, Eddys New Shoes became a cult track - pirated on a number of punk compilations despite the bands ambivalence, but until now never legitimately re-released. - Sing Sing.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2295/2925/products/fusetron_default_8a467fbe-dfa0-4dd5-ad27-4fe478dfceb9.png?v=1571717198
pseudocode-slaughter-in-a-tiny-place
PSEUDOCODE - Slaughter In a Tiny Place

Pseudocode was a Belgian electronic improvised music band, active from 1980 to 1982, featuring Xavier S (Thrills), Guy-Marc Hinant (Sub Rosa co-founder) and Alain Neffe (Insane Music, Bene Geserit). While Xavier S contributed most of the lyrics and vocals, it was Guy-Marc Hinant who often played the core melody on his Pianet electric piano. Neffes contributions are particularly noteworthy throughout, as he weaves together the bulk of the sonic cloth through overdubbing and mixing. None of his parts are remotely virtuosic (hence his self-identification as a non-musician), but they are always unexpected and perfect in and of themselves, emotionally and sonically, and in that sense, they are deeply musical. In that time, the onset of the 80s, we had the opportunity to create from sound itself instead of notes, from noise, screams, any chord, relevant or irrelevant. Xavier (with Stéphane Barbery, Digital Dance), had been in one of Brussels first punk bands, Thrills. Alain had over 10 years of music experience and was influenced by kosmische musik and all kinds of weird and experimental music; he had put together several improvisation ensembles in the area, including the noisy Kosmose, which I joined as a teenager. With seven songs totalling over an hour of music, The Tenth Corner explores some seriously alien terrain with an elusively mechanical, intensely lysergic sound. Unfurling like mellow smoke from some alien opium den, the title track introduces the sonic soiree in a pleasant mood, as distant acoustic plucking and electronic oscillations provide a pillowing backdrop for some elegant electric guitar flourishes. Imbued with an intense array of moods and textures, The Tenth Corner is a tremendously cinematic listening experience -- in fact, three tunes are envisioned as supplemental/alternate soundtracks to some particularly vivid cult films. Composition and improvisation coalesce into a sound that draws from the early flights of 70s German avant rock (Agitation Free, Cosmic Jokers, Ash Ra Tempel) and synth-powered cosmic (Cluster, Tangerine Dream, Popol Vuh) if it were created in the embryonic electronic music labs of the 60s and 70s. Transcendent, gritty, hallucinatory -- The Tenth Corner is undoubtedly Vocokeshs finest hour. - Strange Attractors Audio House.

Borecky, Scott Foust, Meara O'Reilly, Jessi Swenson.
