WOODEN WAND AND THE SKY HIGH BAND - Vol. 7 Wasteland of the Free
In the Fall of 2006, James Jackson Toth (sometimes aka Wooden Wand) \r\ndreamt of a decadent Rolling Thunder" styled tour and proceeded to hit \r\nthe road to bring his simple songs to life with the electricity of a \r\nfull scale, seven piece freewheeling rock and roll ensemble. This crew \r\nfeatured Glenn, Shayde, and Jason (from Skygreen Leopards, Giant \r\nSkyflower Band, Flying Canyon, Papercuts, and various other Bay Area and \r\nJewelled Antler related outfits) on guitars and bass, Kelly (from \r\nLazarus, Red Leaf Black Bird, etc) on drums, Clay (Zodiac Mountain, \r\nTotem, Hintergedanken) on electric piano and organ, and James and \r\nJessica on vocals (wwvv, Totem, Oath, etc). After recording every show \r\nof the tour, this full length live album was compiled featuring some of \r\nthe very best moments. This includes the definitive cult kosmic blues \r\nversion of "the Pushers" as well as other new and classic Wooden Wand \r\nmaterial rendered mercilessly vital by this heavyset crew. This is about \r\nas real as it gets, the heaviest "from the road" set by far. As usual, \r\nseven creepy loners forced into a van, driving eachother to their wits \r\nend, and all the while smoking every stage up and down the West coast. \r\nComes packaged in the usual "from the road" style digipacks, limited to \r\n277 copies.." -Skulls of Heaven\r\n
